Cheryl Phipps creates a dynamic story of romantic suspense in BEND BUT NEVER BREAK.
Beaten and left for dead, all Talia wants is her young daughter--and she will do whatever it takes to get Chloe back in her arms.
Nick, the police officer who rescued Talia, wants nothing more than to bring Talia's ex-husband to justice. He didn't count on a mutual attraction to get in the way.
BEND BUT NEVER BREAK is about a mother who will face the monster from her worst nightmare in order to reach her daughter. It's about a woman who may have been a victim of a fierce attack in the past, but she completes self defense training to ensure it never happens again.
The characters are richly detailed, with a clear sense of good guys versus bad guys. The storyline is solid with the romance serving as the icing on the cake without too much detail. It is first and foremost a story of suspense, as the twists and turns provide the reader with an interesting diversion because nothing is quite what it seems.
