SUMMARY
To bring down a sleazy abduction ring, Lieutenant Margaret "Margo" Peterson has set herself up as bait. But recruiting Dashiel Riske as her unofficial partner is a whole other kind of danger. Dash is six feet four inches of laid-back masculine charm, a man who loves life—and women—to the limit. Until Margo is threatened, and he reveals a dark side that may just match her own….

Beneath Margo's tough facade is a slow-burning sexiness that drives Dash crazy. The only way to finish this case is to work together side by side…skin to skin. And as their mission takes a lethal turn, he'll have to prove he's all the man she needs—in all the ways that matter….

I'm pretty sure that when Ms. Foster developed Dash, she was thinking of THE perfect man. And Margo is the perfect woman for him in this excellent addition to the Love Undercover series.

For months, Lieutenant Margaret Peterson has lived a double life. Undercover, Margo is working to find the sickos responsible for abducting and raping women by using her looks as bait. Up against a brick wall and against her better judgment, Margo enlists the help of the sexy charmer Dashiel Riske. Dash has a tendency to evoke those pesky "feelings" in Margo--something which she tries to bury at every opportunity.

But Dash isn't giving up on the blue-eyed beauty. Her innate sensuality drives him crazy until she's all he can think about! When the bad guys bring trouble to Margo's door and she's injured, Dash is right there helping her heal as well as seducing the living daylights out of her! As much as Margo is fighting her attraction to Dash, he knows she's the one for him, and he won't settle for less than permanent with the spitfire.

For reasons she doesn't fully comprehend, Margo is able to let her guard down around Dash and she drops the impenetrable ball-buster persona around him. She loves that he knows exactly what she needs: a big and powerful man who can dominate her in bed but who is secure enough with himself not to be intimidated by her strength and important job. It will take all of Dash's strength to let Margo take the lead when push comes to shove and lives are on the line. Can Alpha Dash take a backseat to business dominant Margo? More importantly, will Alpha Margo be able to give up some of her control and let her man help?

A DASH OF PERIL is book four in the sexy and suspenseful Love Undercover series by the very talented Lori Foster. It can be read as a standalone, however there are a lot of references to prior books (plus they're all awesome) so I recommend picking them all up.

As I mentioned in the intro, I'm pretty certain Dash is the perfect guy. Sexy, strong, wealthy, successful, comforting, funny, laid-back, capable and totally comfortable in his own skin enough not to be threatened by the intense strength of his woman. Margo is a great match for him, as I totally can't see Dash being happy with a wimpy woman for very long. They challenge one another both in the bedroom and in everyday life and the two of them make a dynamite power couple! That said, I really enjoyed that Dash was intimidated by Rowdy even though he had absolutely no reason to be. After all, there should be some jealousy there when your woman swoons over another dude constantly!

Although Margo can come across as a take no prisoners bitch, Dash turns her into a softer version of herself, more willing to have personal relationships with the people around her while keeping her tough as nails persona intact. Dash's intense reaction to both sides of Margo is perfect--everything about her turns him on, especially the fact that she trusts him enough to lean on him and let him support her. Margo can't believe Dash is willing to take on her family, the only people Margo feels uncomfortable around due to their rigid stance on just about every facet of life. It was one of those fist pumping moments when Dash told her dad what was what!

The suspense element was well done and I really wasn't sure until the end who exactly was coming after Margo. The standoff toward the end was well executed and definitely made me excited that Cannon will be getting his own book soon! He's such an enigma and I can't wait to delve into his story. Ms. Foster always gives us some seriously strong and sexy men and the women who bring them to their knees. Combine that with intriguing storylines and great writing and banter and you've got one excellent series that will make you a huge fan!
