If you had the best sex of your life with a man you could spend the rest of your life with, what would you do to him when he leaves without a word? Worse, you both work for the same company so you probably have to see him sooner or later. When you finally get the chance to confront him, it's to pull his ass out of a fire. What would you do? I'd want to kick his ass before I saved it.

Victoria is a computer savvy knockout, working for a shadowy covert operations group, Echelon Shield. Her informal adopted father, Director Amine, runs this elite group of former Navy SEALs and Delta force operatives. Victoria is the exception; she has never worked in the military. She is treated like a princess in some sense since her jobs generally entail less dangerous missions and more high society spy work. This is, until now.

Her one time lover, Jaron Quinn, is in trouble on a current mission. After a whirlwind love affair, Jaron left her without a word. Now, Victoria's skill sets are needed to help extract him, yet it places her in both physical and emotional danger. Being professional, Victoria suppresses her personal feelings and takes the job, but she wants answers. She's willing to use her body against him to get what she needs.

Ms. Waters creates a fast paced story in this condensed novella. The sexual tension between Victoria and Jaron is deliciously exposed for the reader to enjoy. Jaron can't keep his hands off of her. Victoria, in turn, can't say no and melts under his hands, body, tongue, basically every body part. Unfortunately for them, as they reconnect, the mission goes south real quickly. It becomes a Charlie-Foxtrot, causing both to be in danger and on the run. The story ends quickly with a few questions left hanging. This is probably to set up for the next story.

Overall, I found the story to be entertaining and sexy. The storyline is a familiar one. It could have been boring, but Ms. Waters was able to keep it lively and engaging. The hero was hot; the heroine easily kept up with him. I recommend this to readers interested in a happy ever after with a little bit of intrigue.
