SUMMARY
Kim Hansen has terrible luck with men. When her sexy downstairs neighbor shows a more-than-neighborly interest in her, she's suspicious. She's been burned too many times, by too many guys. Charlie Keller is smart, hot and successful--so what does he want with her besides a few nights of pleasure?

Though Kim does her best to shut him down, Charlie's not put off by her attitude. He doesn't scare easy. Kim thinks she's clever, using sex to keep him off guard and to maintain her emotional distance. But Charlie sees through her prickly exterior to her tender heart beneath.

But Kim needs to be won over. Sure, their bedroom action is awesome, but given her past mistakes, she's convinced that Charlie is too good to be true. Just too perfect. But if Charlie has his way, he'll prove that he's the perfect man for her.

Does the Perfect Man exist? But of course, he is the one that we fall in love with, the one that makes us giddy and feel beautiful.

As I started reading this book, all I could think about is what a "bitch" Kim was. Her attitude sucked and it was always "poor me, poor me". Kim is a woman that seemed to thrive on fighting, even goading people just to, I don't know, maybe feel better. Sure she had a sucky upbringing, with parents that cared more of what people thought of their family rather than doing actual parenting. But instead of Kim showing them she could be more than what they thought of her, she did the opposite. She did not progress in life and had already quit college twice and could not bring herself to move forward and reach for her dream job.

However, I admired Kim because even though her attitude sucked, she truly did care for Charlie and did her best to help her friends in need. Then she had this cat "Grouche" whom she rescued from the street, and he became her best friend and her protector. Then the day came when she pushed Charlie too far and he unleashed everything he had pent up and it left her stunned, but then she finds herself giving the same advice to her friend and she realizes that she has to talk to him and hopefully he will forgive her.

Charlie is a teacher and he wants to help Kim accomplish her dream. He also has his own issues in respect with his family. He makes sure that he is in control of his life and wants to be the perfect son and make his parents happy. Only, he hates it when he loses control and lashes out, but Kim makes him crazy. Charlie knows that he wants her and he will do anything to have her but she pushes his buttons too many times. He tells her exactly what is wrong with her and it hurts him but someone needs to tell her that while she is a scared woman, she's also a brat. Eventhough they had a huge fight, he knew that no one has ever told her that they loved her or kept a promise, so he hoped that when he shows up at her door for her parents' 30th wedding anniversary party, she would not slam the door on him.

While reading HER PERFECT MAN, there were times whenI just wanted to throw my Nook across the room because I would get so frustrated with Kim. She had something good going on with Charlie, but something would not let her be happy. Believe me, they had the sexual chemistry going on because every time they were together, they were burning up the sheets. Only that there were times that I wanted to yell at Kim because Charlie had fallen for her, and every time they were intimate, she had ulterior motives, and that was not right. Ms. Raines had a great idea, told a sexy story, but there were bumps along the way. But no matter what, I still enjoyed the story.

I will have to go back and read the two previous books since both Adam and Matthew are both mentioned in this book. Overall, HER PERFECT MAN is a wonderful read, one that I'm sure will appeal to everyone. All I can say is it was truly worth it at the very end.
