Q: First of all, I love your titles! Spider's Bite, Web of Lies, Venom, and now Tangled Threads. I like the way they all have something to do with the spider, which is Gin's rune symbol. How did you come up with them? Was this deliberately done, or did it come about in a burst of serendipity?
Thanks! I think the titles are pretty cool myself. Actually, I had titled the first book GIN ON THE ROCKS, and I had thought we would use the word GIN in all the titles - BITTER GIN, GIN & TONIC, etc. My book group and I had a lot of fun coming up with GIN titles at one of our meetings. LOL.
Catching an Evil Tail
by Mary Abshire
Q: You now have 3 books in this series. Before we delve deeper into CATCHING AN EVIL TAIL, tell us about your world and where you got the idea for this series.
I'd finished writing a vampire novel and I wanted to write something better, different, catchy. For several days, I thought and thought... what can I do that hasn't been done before? At least, not that I had read. I wanted a female who thought she was bad, but she really wasn't. A demon seemed like...

Q: Please tell us about CARNAL SECRETS.
CARNAL SECRETS is a contemporary romance novel. Here's the blurb:
After a rapid change in management, Natalie Hall is surprised to find that she's being promoted so quickly. But when it becomes obvious that the new CEO is interested in her on a more personal level, she pushes him away -- she doesn't...

Q: When people ask me what Chicagoland Vampires is about, I start to answer by saying that it's about Merit, but truth be told, it's about so much more. There are all kinds of plots running through the series: romantic plots, political plots, familial plots. How do you answer that question to encompass the whole?
The Chicagoland Vampires series is, first and foremost, about a regular, book-loving girl, Merit, being thrown into a world of strategic, political, and chic vampires. She has to come to terms with the fact that she's been made one of them against her will--and that she's been tasked with defending...
Breathe Me In
by Lex Valentine
Q: BREATHE ME IN is book 6.5 of the Tales of the Darkworld series. For readers new to the series, please give us a short summary of what has happened in the series so far.
Each of the books thus far can stand alone. However, the series is much richer if you read them all. They are the stories of couples who are secretly helped along in their matings by three best friends, a vampire, a black dragon, and a Magia (the magical race.) Each couple is somehow related to these...
The Pleasure Garden
by Amanda McIntyre; Charlotte Featherstone; Kristi Astor
Q: Where did the idea for this anthology come from? How did you come to collaborate on this anthology together?
Amanda: The inception was a collaborative effort after I met Kristi through the RT convention workshops and asked if she might be interested in hearing about an idea for an anthology. I knew she and Charlotte knew each other and as fate would have it, when we met, and began discussing ideas, the creation...
My Irresistible Earl
by Gaelen Foley
Q: For those new to your books, please tell us a little about The Inferno Club series. Can you enlighten us about the Order's fight against the Prometheans? Also, what seed started the idea for this series?
The Inferno Club is a raucous, decadent gentleman's club that is actually a front for a spy ring in service to the Crown. What makes my sexy spy guys different than every other Regency spy ring on the market today is that rather than being attached to the Foreign Office, my heroes are members of an...

Q: Please tell us about ALWAYS REMEMBER.
The civil war hits Texas just as hard as any other state and people like Ruby Anderson and her two lovely daughters must learn how to keep the farm going during this ordeal. A Dead Man's Debt
by Grace Elliot
Q: Where did the idea for A DEAD MAN'S DEBT come from? What sparked the idea for the story?
The idea for A DEAD MAN'S DEBT sprang from seeing a portrait of Emma Hart (who became Lady Hamilton and then Nelson's mistress.) The painting by George Romney shows an innocent yet lush young woman, scantily clad with a hint of bosom, brazenly staring out of the canvas with an allure that is quite...
The Wind and the Sea
by Marsha Canham
Q: THE WIND AND THE SEA is such an exciting tale of swashbuckling adventure in the high seas! Where did the idea for this story come from? What inspired this plot?
I have always been a fan of the old swashbuckling movies like Captain Blood, and had the biggest crush on Errol Flynn while I was growing up. I had dipped a toe into sea battles and swashbuckling adventures with Bound by the Heart and wanted to do more of the same, find a hero worthy of an Errol Flynn...

by Julianna Sage
Q: Please tell us about TO KILL A VAMPIRE.
In TO KILL A VAMPIRE, the vampire Erik Kestler travels back through time to save the woman who has been ordered killed. Vlad, leader of the vampire population, wants her dead before she can write her book "To Kill a Vampire", a book which reveals many secret ways to destroy the demons.
Taking Back His Widow
by Kerri Williams
Q: I'm going to start with confessing that Australian geography is not my subject. But the coastal town TAKING BACK HIS WIDOW was set in really captivated and charmed me. Is the coastal town you set the story in real and what made you chose it as the location for Liv's escape?
"Maple Cove" was loosely based on a small town I used to live in ten years ago when we had our second child. Tin Can Bay is a small town on the coast of Queensland. It's quite large now, but back then, it was like a close knit community where you didn't lock your doors and your dog had multiple families...
Wicked Wager Among Friends
by Cassandre Dayne
Q: I understand WICKED WAGER AMONG FRIENDS is part of the series Tales from Lucifer's Lair. What an interesting series name! Please give us an overview of the series and where did you get the idea for it?
Tales from Lucifer's Lair started because of a series I am writing as another girl, Dakotah Black, about campy murder mystery happenings in a fictional community association called Leopard's Pointe. The Flamingo Rustler is the local bar and restaurant and Lucifer's Lair is the man cave section of the...
