I live in the Heart of Texas with my journalist husband and our adopted miniature poodle.
I've been writing in one form or another all my life. I'm a reformed high school and college English teacher and have published poetry, non-fiction, and short fiction in newspapers, literary journals, and magazines.
My fictional characters are often larger than life and sometimes find themselves in absurd situations. My stories always always have a dog. Or two. I'm currently working on a mystery. With dogs.
My first novel, DOG NANNY, was a 2008 finalist in the Linda Howard Award of Excellence contest and dubbed a "near perfect book" by one reviewer.

When not writing, I like to read, teach our pooch new tricks, sing, paint, and play the guitar.
