Marliss Melton is the award-winning author of thirteen gripping, counterterrorist/romantic suspense novels, including a seven-book Navy SEALs series published by Grand Central, the Taskforce trilogy, and the Echo Platoon series, published by ePublishing Works! Melton relies on her experience as a military spouse and on her many contacts in the Spec Ops and Intelligence communities to pen realistic and heartfelt stories about America's most elite warriors and fearless agency heroes. Daughter of a U.S. foreign officer, Melton grew up in various countries overseas. She has taught English, Spanish, ESL, and Linguistics at the College of William and Mary, her alma mater. Living in Williamsburg, Virginia, Melton keeps a finger on the political pulse in nearby Washington D.C., while continuing to find inspiration in the real-life exploits and heroism of Virginia Beach Navy SEALs.
Marliss enjoys singing solos at church, exercising, and wine tasting. Marliss isn't much of a TV watcher, but she enjoys HGTV and Animal Planet with shows about dogs. She reads outside of her genre--mainly nonfiction biographies about real life military heroes that inspire her own stories.
