I have worked in the computer industry and teaching, besides raising a family. I love writing and have had short stories published, besides my novella, A Fortnight is not Enough. I am currently working on a historical novel.
My historical novel Pleasure Train Polka (set in an Austrian spa town in summer 1914) was shortlisted in the 2014 Write Time competition run by Corazon Books.
I belong to the New Writers Scheme of the Romantic Novelists' Association.
I am a member of The Write Place creative writing school, run by author and journalist Elaine Everest. Here I find a stimulating atmosphere with encouragement and constructive criticism. We're on a roll at the moment, with several members getting published!
I am particularly interested in travel, (mainly to continental Europe), languages and classical music.
I am concerned about the Environment.
I keep fit by walking in the attractive Kentish countryside. Also I exercise with Zumba, on the principle that an hour a week shouldn't kill me!
