I'm a book addict. I've always been a reader, as a child I loved to read the Little House on the Prairie series and The Anne of Green Gables series, over and over again. My favorite romance is Jane Eyre, which I read for the first time in high school.
I became a book store manager for WH Smith Airport Stores in 1997. WH Smith sold their stores to Hudson News and I continued as a book store manager, as well as having other positions with the airport stores until I left in 2010. I worked at both O'Hare and Midway airports, in Chicago. When our book department started doing "Best of . . . " book lists in 2007, I started doing reviews for their brochures and publications. That's when I became a real addict. I began buying/reading so many books that I have more books then I have space in my home. In recent months I've began to more and more reviews, posting them on the author's Facebook page, Amazon, Net Galley, Goodreads, and Edelweiss/Above the Line, I don't have a blog. If I have a connection to a story, it's a good book. If the story makes me feel, whether it be crying, laughing, or getting angry at the characters, it's a fantastic book. If I don't connect with the story or the characters, I will still finish the book, but I generally don't like it.
I love to read. If I'm not working, I'm reading. I also have 21 nieces and nephews, whom I love like they were my own.
