CATHERINE MCNAMARA grew up in Sydney and studied visual communication and African and Asian modern history before moving to Paris. She worked in pre-war Mogadishu and later lived in Accra, Ghana, where she co-managed a bar and art gallery. She moved to Italy several years ago, where her jobs have included translating welding manuals and modelling shoes. She has impressive collections of African sculpture and Italian heels.
Her novel 'The Divorced Lady's Companion to Living in Italy' was released in April 2012 by Indigo Dreams Publishing and her collection ‘Pelt and Other Stories' will be published in 2013.
I like high heels, red beer and violets.
