Good Morning All!

I'm here to chat all day today so I thought we'd kick the day off with a GIVEAWAY! Just go over to the online general preview for "The Heart of War" http://moonsmusings.com/lbdarling/heartofwar/preview.html and answer this question:

When does Alena say that she first fell in love with Ares?

I'll pick 2 winners at the end of the day to receive an ebook copy of "The Heart of War" in their choice of formats.

Let's have a little fun today and kick off the coming 4th of July Weekend right. Feel free to step on up and ask anything you like about current releases or the upcoming "Child of War".

Hello, everyone! Thank you to TRR for having me today!

I'm here to talk about pyramids. LOVE THEM! I have a demotivator poster of El Castillo from Chich'en Itza on my wall that says, "SACRIFICE: All we ask here is for your heart."

It makes me smile every time. Egyptian pyramids are cool and all, but it's the Central American ones that really intrigue me. Yeah, it's the legends and rumors of human sacrifice. It's creepy as hell but also fascinating (and truth be told, the Maya at least only very rarely sacrificed a person -- the priest typically sacrificed his own blood). The image of that gorgeous pyramid in the Yucatan haunts me. So much that I'm writing another Bloodgate novella featuring a rather unusual sacrifice at the top. *winks*

What fascinates you about pyramids? Comment here today and I'll give away a $10 gift certificate to any online book retailer of your choice.

I love pyramids because you never know what lays inside. Mystery, treasures and just the history can intrigue me. You never know what the next passage might show... Just like a great book!

Pyramids? I love stories set in ancient Egypt, too bad there aren't a lot of those around. And um, aren't pyramids also phallic symbols? That may be the real reason for my fascination. LOL
[ Posted: 9 years ago ]

Tracey D
Hi, Joely. Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated with ancient Egypt. I loved the culture, the religion, the clothes, but especially the pyramids. I always wondered how they were built! I'm also fascinated, on how the Egyptians created the passageways to the tomb, including closed off or "trick" passageways.
