Sam's been attracted to Meredith's lush curves, bright-green eyes and throaty laugh ever since he met her. Sharing drinks, bad-date stories and sexy innuendo makes him like her even more. But her lousy one-night stands have convinced her she's not worth a second glance. Spankings and a little bondage just might help the voluptuous Meredith understand that not only can they share adventurous sex and pizza at midnight, but a future together as well.

Inside Scoop: This book contains mild BDSM elements.

What's better than spending another weekend night alone? Finding out the blind date your friend just scoped out and stood up is the co-worker you've been wanting to ask out, thus prompting you to step in, seize the moment, and make your interest known.

When Sam Burrows' friend Evan asks him to meet him at a bar, Sam has no idea that Evan only wants him there to scout out the blind date Evan has been set up with. Sam is stunned to find that Evan's blind date is his co-worker Meredith Larkin, a plus-sized beauty that Sam's been eyeing now that he's recovered enough from a breakup to want to begin dating again. When Evan says Meredith is fat, refuses to introduce himself, and high tails it out of the bar, Sam decides it's time to make his interest in Meredith known, even if he has to put her at ease by making up false stories about non-existent blind dates that have gone wrong.

After a string of blind dates have stood her up or ended badly, Meredith is not surprised when tonight's date doesn't show, but she's a bit wary when her handsome co-worker Sam asks to join her and begins to express an interest in her. But Sam assures her that he appreciates her abundant curves and wouldn't mind getting to know her better. So, despite her fear of getting burned, Meredith lets Sam talk her in to being his date for the evening. And suddenly she's at Sam's apartment sharing pizza and a night of passion with a side of light kinky fantasy that has her thinking that Sam's potentially more than a one night stand. But when Evan arrives at Sam's place the next morning and mentions the word's pity and Meredith in the same sentence, nothing Sam says can convince Meredith that she's anything but a gullible fool.

Natasha Moore has woven a believable tale featuring a plus-size heroine who's been subjected to society's size conscious stigmas, and a man who thinks she's beautiful just as she is but needs some convincing. Sam and Meredith are both likeable characters and their passionate natures are not all that they find they have in common. And, while the entire storyline develops over one week and features a happy for now ending, the author interjects a few words that allow the reader to visualize a potential happily ever after for this couple. At 68 pages, I found this to be a quick, satisfying read that made a great bedtime story.

Warning: Light consensual bondage and spanking.
