Claiming Christmas is a fun read that sizzles.
Regan Price is having a torturous Christmas season. When her fourth grade class show their talent in a Christmas pageant, Regan knows she's gonna hear it from the Principal, also known as her ex's mom and a few other colorful phrases. Regan braces herself for the inevitable; she is surely going to lose her job. Enter Cian St. John. I can hear the angel music already. The irresistible hunky brother of her best friend is all Regan would like to spend her time thinking about. Will Regan get what she really wants for Christmas this year?
Within the first chapter, Regan's character had me laughing. She was a sharp-witted woman with a dry sense of humor. Cian's character was scorching hot. When you put Regan and Cian together, you get a searing passion that is explosive. I related well with both characters. Regan had the humor and Cian had that irresistible attitude that makes you want to wish that he was yours.
I enjoyed reading Claiming Christmas and found Ms. Simone's writing style to be very engaging. She knows how to draw in a reader and keep them entertained. Claiming Christmas moved at just the right pace and gave just enough back story to make you wonder why it took them so long. I must note that this book includes voyeurism, so if you aren't into that, this book might not be for you. However, if you are looking for a faced-paced erotic read that let's you escape for a few minutes, I recommend this book.
