Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance
She's ready to unleash her wild side, granny panties and all.
Serial monogamist Emma Donegan has never had a one-night-stand—and she's definitely never propositioned a smokin'-hot guy while wearing decidedly unattractive lingerie. But when she sees the sexy cop stripper at a friend's bachelorette party, she resolves to make her most risqué fantasies come true.
Playing the part of a stripper is way out of private detective Shane Madison's comfort zone, but the future of his business hangs on this one case. Too bad the incriminating evidence leads right to the irresistible brunette who keeps slipping tens into his G-string. Shane's had a few too many career mishaps and he's almost positive he's
on the verge of another. Because the one woman he can't stay away from is the same woman making it so hard for him to remember his priorities.
Publisher's Note: This book was previously published elsewhere as Conquered in 2011.

It began with a case of mistaken identity and led to a night of passionate new experiences for the both of them.
Shane Madison had made a lousy cop, so he quit his job to start his own business as a private investigator, and he knew it was make it or break it if he couldn't get his new business off the ground. His one and only client wants to know if the woman he plans to marry is a stud-pimping madam, and if she samples the wares before she offers them to her girlfriends. It's rumored the lady finds her studs among the strippers at a local male strip club, so armed with a photo of his quarry and sporting a miniscule G-string, Shane, who can't dance to save his life, takes on the persona of a stripper cop in hopes of spotting his target at the club.
Although it's not the best lighting, he thinks he's spotted his client's fiancée and bumps and grinds his way over to get a better look, never expecting to have the woman cop a feel to make sure the credentials housed in his G-string are bona fide. He's not just shocked, he's unaccountably smitten, but he's also got a job to do. If he can get her alone, he'll try to trick her into revealing all her sordid secrets. If he's successful, he'll get paid by his client and, just possibly, laid by his target.
Thirtyish Emma Donegan had a terrible track record for getting dumped, and since her last boyfriend would rather be out fishing than spend any quality time with her; she dumped him before he dumped her. Forced to spend an evening at her friend's bachelorette party at a local strip club, Emma waffled between the idea of engaging the interest of a hot dancer and letting him rip off her cotton granny panties with the little blue roses on them, or going home alone to wallow in self-pity.
When the cop stripper with the badge on his G-string shook his junk in her face, the mesmerized Emma was compelled to see if what was housed inside was real or not. It was. How embarrassing! When the show is over, why is the stripper approaching her for a little one-on-one time? Really, she's not the kind of girl that grabs a man's junk; she was just caught up in the moment. Is this really happening?
Cari Quinn's robust tale of mistaken identity, which results in a hot, steamy night between two strangers, had me quickly turning the pages between my loud outbursts of laughter. Both Shane and Emma seem like normal people who have been dealt with their fair share of let downs, but their meeting in the club drives both of them to go against their inherent natures and to take a walk on the wild side.
Shane's goal is to get the dirt on his client's fiancée so he can earn needed money and get referrals for his business. Emma's relationship rut has her dissatisfied, unhappy, and secretly wanting to do something totally out of character, but she's having an internal war with herself. Their night together results in unexpected pleasures, internal angst, and, eventually, an ending with Shane's client that leads to an unexpected proposition that made me chuckle.
If you like your stories with hot sex and a twist of humor, give NAILING HIS TARGET a read, but prepare for a few really deep belly laughs!
