Kinze and Taylor have had an arrangement for the last three years. They were both single, but kept each other in mind for holidays, parties and other functions whenever the mood struck.
Even though their current understanding was Kinze's idea, she wanted to be more. She had fallen for him long ago and was making it her mission to make him hers exclusively.

REINDEER GAMES is a holiday short story that has a fun and light tone, a theme that's very easy to identify with, realistic characters, and a whole lot of hot lovin' mixed in. A short friends-to-lovers story with a little Christmas fun thrown in.
Kinze and Taylor have been friends with benefits for a long time. They both want to be more than that to each other as they have grown to love one another. The problem is that they are afraid to let each other know that. As they have been working together at the mall with Taylor playing Santa and Kinze being a reindeer helper, they each decide that it's time to make their feelings known. So, this Christmas, they each form a plan to let the other know they feel. But first, Kinze plays some reindeer games of her own to entice Taylor to be with her forever.
This erotic short was cute. Friends to lovers, lovers to relationship. The author shows how sometimes the transitions aren't so easy to make. There's quite a bit of sex in the 29 page story, and it's got some sexy parts to it. The main characters had realistic and at times funny dialogue with each other. I liked the way that the author used an established relationship to move the story along. In such a short story, it can seem like the relationship between the hero and heroine is rushed, but this way, the relationship was a known factor from the outset.
So, overall it was good. I wasn't blown away by the story but I did like it. It was a cute premise with some steamy scenes and a nice happily ever after.
