She was one man's obsession…
Nine years ago, Claire Kramer's lover brutally killed her family, and he tried to kill her. She escaped, but she's been haunted ever since that attack. Too afraid to trust another man and too worried that her past will catch up with her, Claire never gets too close to anyone. But then she meets Noah York.
He must have her.
Noah York is a man with secrets. The world sees him as a billionaire hotel tycoon, but Noah has a dark and dangerous side. For years, he worked covert military operations before he built his fortune. When it comes to death, Noah is a master. He knows that he should steer clear of Claire, but the white-hot attraction Noah feels for the delicate beauty is instant—and consuming.
He will never let her go.
Someone else is just as consumed by Claire—someone who will kill to possess her. And if Noah can't stop the hunter in the darkness, he may just lose the one woman that he can't live without.

Is it obsession or love? Can she handle his past?
Once again, Cynthia Eden does it with this read. MINE TO HOLD is an exceptional, heartwarming, emotional read. I could not put this book down. I had been waiting to read this story since I found out that Noah and Claire were going to have their own story. My heart broke, then it revived then it shattered but then it glowed with the love that they both had for each other. The emotional state that Claire was in was gut-wrenching. I could not believe everything that she had been through with her ex-lover and his father. Noah reminded me so much of Trace with his obsession with Claire, and the way his heartbeat would ease when he touched her. Noah always got what he wants but maybe this time she would walk away from him because she could not be with a person who kills.
Claire was in need of a job after she was fired from the last one. The one person that could help her was Noah York and she was on her way to see him. Only there was something about him that makes her body go into full alert when he is around. Claire can't believe what he is telling her, that he wants to take her and make her his but there is one rule--he does not have sex with an employee. Claire doesn't want him and she will not go to him.
Noah York can't believe that she has come to him and this time he is not going to let her out of his sight. Though she flinches when he touches her, he knows she will come to him some day; it's only a matter of time. However, when they travel to DC for business, something happens in the hotel lobby. Her ex-lover's father is there and verbally attacked Claire.
Things escalate that night when her ex-lover's father is found shot in the head. Claire is under investigation because she was outside his hotel. Only she has no idea who else showed up. More murders happen in the same way that her parents were murdered. How can this be happening? She knew that the person who shot her parents was in jail and she knew that he had a couple more years before he could get out. So who was killing these people?
In MINE TO HOLD, there was an incredible amount of emotions that both Noah and Claire expressed. There is a lot of fear, death and trauma that surround Claire but it seems that now it might even include Noah. Noah will do anything to care for her, love her but most of all protect her with everything he has. I loved Ms Eden's writing style, the way she was able to engender emotions in me--sad, happy, heartbroken, absolutely turned on. The development of the relationship between Noah and Claire was slow going and it was perfect. I loved that Trace and Skye made a small appearance and so did Drake.
The sex scenes are scorching hot. Noah is very controlling in the bedroom as he is out of it. I love how controlling he is and when he loses control, holy fricking cow. But he is also passionate when he loves her slowly, devouring her. *fanning self*
I totally recommend this read to all readers. The only thing that I do advise is you have to read Mine to Take and Mine to Keep in order understand this series. I so hope that Ms Eden is working on Drake's story, as he truly deserves to be happy.
