This the second story I have read by Jaxx Steele and he is quickly becoming one of my favorite short story authors. CHRISTMAS NICK FOR EVERYONE is a holiday themed story only in that it takes place during the Christmas season, however, as a love story, it will warm you on any cold night of the winter.
Although the story itself is short, Mr. Steele has managed to develop two characters who are likable. The main character, Evan, is complex and somewhat withdrawn, having gone quite some time without love in his life. When Nikolai enters the picture, a humorous set of confusing circumstances occurs which throw the reader for a loop, but once that bit of confusion is straightened out, Mr. Steele moves right into the heat. The sex is unapologetic and graphic, just how I like it.
While the story is not intended to be a literary commentary on the current state of love and relationships, it still addresses the theme of opening up to love. Both enjoyable and simmering with heat, this is a read that will get your juices flowing.
