I'm a big fan of Hope Tarr and have read all of her Suddenly Cinderella stories and totally love them. Finally, Stephanie finds her prince charming only things don't go the way she thought they would. Sure, she got the Cinderella shoes but something happened to them--the heel broke and prince charming gets the shoe. Now it's only a matter of him hearing what truly happened and see if he will be slipping the ruby slipper on her foot.
Stephanie Stefanopoulos owns a catering business Good Enuf to Eat and it has really taken off in the last eight years. All Stephanie has done is work and more work. She was engaged for a short time but her fiancé was an ass. He took her father for millions and now they are on the verge of losing everything. Stephanie feels responsible for what happened and she knows that she needs to do something to help her father. She researches Nikolaos since her father told her he was a player and she knows what she needs to do. She needs an extreme makeover.
Nikolaos "Nik" Costas is CEO of the family business and he is well known as a bachelor playboy. He has been seen with playmates, models, actresses, etc but now things are different. He received a phone call from the mother of a woman he had a one-night-stand with, stating that he had a daughter, whose mother passed away in a motor vehicle accident. The little girl was given up at birth and taken to an orphanage.
Now easing into fatherhood, he has changed his ways. He is going to America to pay a visit to collect the money that they owe his company. He has big plans for that money and he must get it. He will not be leaving Washington, DC until he got the 2.5 million dollars.
Now that Stephanie is feeling beautiful about herself, she is ready to seduce Mr. Playboy. Only she had no idea that he was a father and that he would be bringing his daughter with him. Nik can't believe the beauty he is seeing right in front of him. He knows that he can't take her to bed because of the debt but also because she is a nice girl who doesn't seem to be the kind to just have a fling. Only, the more time they spend with each other, the more flirting there is. Then, her evil stepmother opens her mouth and everything goes to hell.
THE CINDERELLA SEDUCTION is a fairy tale reading. It's beautifully written and I was totally enthralled by it. It has everything that a Cinderella story should have--there was the wicked stepmom, the wicked stepsisters and prince charming. Only what should have been a great date with a beautiful gown and the Cinderella slippers went terribly wrong.
I love that all the characters from the previous books were present in this story and that Macie was able to help Stephanie feel confident in herself. I love how her father defended her but I didn't like what he put her through. Sure, I loved that during the time her father was trying to come up with the money, Stephanie and Nik were seducing each other. That seduction was totally smokin' hot it was breath taking. Stephanie has a huge heart to do what she did and very loyal to her family. I hated how her stepmother and sisters treated her and loved how Nik wanted to defend her. He really should have; I would have loved to see what he would have told them.
I love how this story pulled me in and my emotions ran the gamut from laughing to giggling to crying because Nik truly was an ogre toward the very end. And maybe this won't be the last of the series. Maybe...just maybe Samantha will get her own story.
This story by Hope Tarr was truly magical and a romance story that I will be rereading again. I totally recommend this read to any reader, especially if you are a romance junkie like me.
