There comes a time in every reader's life when it's time to try something new. For the romance lover who doesn't mind a walk on the fantasy side, Nikki Prince has compiled a selection of eight erotic stories. Whether it's vampires, demons or shapeshifters, the stories have one thing in common--very explicit, raw physical interaction between the characters.

I have to give the writers credit for developing storylines that are quite diverse. Although I don't tend to read much fantasy romance, I doubt that there are many compilations offering this kind of variety.

The first selection, authored by Nikki Prince, is titled "The Sin Eater's Wife." It is likely to appeal to seasoned fantasy readers because of the subject matter.

Elyzabeth Valey provides an intriguing tale of a part-demon, part-human who needs to find her other half or she will die in "Blue Horns." The spice level in this selection is extremely high.

In "The Curse," Doris O'Connor introduces twin brothers, who also happen to be shapeshifters, and an animal activist with a weakness for bears. Maybe it sounds a bit far-fetched, but it's a nice diversion...with a steamy undercurrent.

The hidden jewel of this bundle comes in "Surrender Sweet Succubus" by Jewel Quinlan. In this story, a succubus finds herself caught by a shaman who needs her magical help. Used to being the taker, she finds herself all too willing to give.

"My Guardian Vampire" is Sabrina Sol's story about a man turned vampire who loses his true love. She is reincarnated through one of her descendants, and Diego only has one chance left to make her his for all eternity.

Perhaps the best developed storyline can be found in M Jet's "Conjure the Wind." Danielle, crippled with grief over the loss of her parents on top of a failed marriage, finds new hope in a family property she discovers in her parents' will. She gets caught up in a curse that she must break in order to truly find peace.

Serena Reid adds "Outfoxed," which is a whimsical tale about a young fox determined to live her life according to her own rules, yet she gets caught by a special kind of hunter.

"Blood for Sin" by Remi McQueen completes the compilation of stories with the saga of a pirate captain who returns to Ireland in hopes of escaping the memories of a long-lost lover who later comes back as a vampire.

While this selection may not appeal to all types of readers, it should satisfy those who want to take a dip into the world of fantasy. It would be very helpful if the stories would go through another round of heavy editing to clean up the manuscript for the reader who is easily distracted by typos and grammatical errors.
