This is between a 2.5 and a 3 stars for me.

I thought the premise for this book was intriguing. A down the line, respectable young man, Aaron Quinn, being coerced by a desperate father into making contact with the young, dangerous Mafia son of a well-known gangster. I was eager to find out how such a meeting of different minds would turn out.

What begins as a simple business arrangement turns into a passionate and dangerous affair of two men falling in love and in lust, and one innocent party being dragged into the world of violence, murder, ruthlessness and the business of making sure that crime pays.

Liam is ruthless and tough but he find himself falling for the enigma that is Aaron, a decent, caring and upright man who doesn't truly belong in his world. He finds his heart taken by the other man with a fierceness he can't control. Aaron sees beneath the tough, sarcastic and outwardly hard Liam to the tenderness and soft heart of the man beneath the hard shell. And when danger comes looking for them both and finds Aaron, Liam realizes it's time to choose what he wants to keep Aaron safe, as things will never be the same again.

The book is fast-paced, full of action, with a lot of hot, sexy scenes and a story line that at times becomes a little confusing and left me with some questions. But I did enjoy the developing and very passionate relationship between Liam and Aaron as each man found the other side of each other. Liam discovers his tender, compassionate side and Aaron his darker and more malevolent being.

I did find a couple of things a little unbelievable, such as Aaron's father forcing his own son to do something that was so distasteful, and Aaron being so accepting to do it despite the guilt he was made to feel. There were a couple of other inconsistencies in the plot that I won't go into here as it might be too spoilerish. But overall, the book was enjoyable, easy to drift along with and had many moments of sensuality, emotional satisfaction and some great lines.
