SUMMARY
Lawyer Alaina Simmons never imagined that she would be defending her deceased father against accusations of terrorism when she agreed to protect his legacy, a group of documents he'd placed in an archival repository. FBI Lawyer Donovan Prentice insists that her father and the organization he worked for were terrorists and that crucial evidence is in the documents Alaina has sworn to protect. Now she is forced to combat the FBI and her compelling attraction to Donovan Prentice while unaware that she is also Donovan's suspect.
Special Agent Donovan Prentice is working undercover posing as a lawyer in an attempt to gain access to the evidence he needs to convict a group of terrorists as well as determine if Alaina Simmons is working with them. Things become complicated as Donovan becomes more intent on getting his suspect in bed than putting her in jail.
When the bullets start to fly and the lies begin to unravel Alaina and Donovan begin to explore their intensely sexual relationship, but the couple will have to learn to trust each other both in and out of bed before the terrorists' game of intrigue can end.
Warning: This book contains steamy sex scenes and amusing banter.

Things aren't always what they seems. Sometimes, the job requires you not to say the whole truth, and that can ruin a great relationship.

I really liked TRUST ME; it is my first read by Ms. Wells. It did take me a bit to get into the story and to try to see where it was going, but once it started picking up, I found myself unable to put it down. The instant chemistry that Donovan and Alaina shared was amazing. I loved the bantering that went back and forth between them. They sounded like a married old couple.

Alaina Simmons never knew who her biological father was until the day he showed up at her college graduation. She gave him a hard time at first, because he thinks he can just step in. After several times that they got together she started to forgive him, and she found out the reason he sought her out.

FBI Lawyer Donovan Prentice has been following Alaina around and it's time to meet with her to talk about her father. From the moment that he bumps into her, he sees into her eyes and there is something there that makes him think she is not involved with her father's criminal activities. The more time that he spends with her, the more he knows that she had no idea what her father was doing, especially after the drive by that happened at her home.

The chemistry is sizzling between them and when they are in the safe house, things get very steamy between them. Donovan knows that he should not have been with Alaina, but just being near her has him wanting to jump her. The other agent finds out what they have done and the only way she will not report him is if he didn't go near Alaina again. Only that's not possible. When the judge finally makes his decision, Alaina is glad and she thinks it's finally over, but she has no idea that it's just the beginning.

TRUST ME is a great read and the writing is good. The best part was the dialogue, especially the bantering between Alaina and Donovan. These characters were well-developed and the attraction between them was hot. I love how the relationship between them was developed and how real it seemed.

Will Alaina be able to prove her father's innocence? The real question is, will she finally accept that she has fallen completely in love with Donovan? Will Donovan be able to keep his feelings inside of himself or will he end up ruining his career?

I truly enjoyed this read and I recommend this to all readers.
