Going down the rabbit hole has nothing on what Julia experiences when spending the weekend playing the beard to a loving gay couple. In ROMANCING THE BEARD, Ms. Lehoux achieves the trifecta of erotic romance: great humor, good storyline and delicious sex.

Julia Jones has a damn good job. She gets paid to be a professional beard--the arm candy girlfriend to gay men who are still firmly in the closet. It's the perfect job for a woman who avoids real relationships like the plague. When Julia accepts a weekend job in Martha's Vineyard, she's thrilled! Until she mistakes her newest client, Ian Ashworth, for the chauffeur...and comes onto him...oops!

Julia is mortified but quickly gets over it when she gets to know Ian and his stunning boyfriend James. Julia soon realizes she's over her head with Ian and James, who seem to be flirting with her every chance they get! But Julia has a job to do: make sure Nana Ashworth is none the wiser to the men's true relationship. Her acting abilities are put to the test when Ian and James make it clear they want her in their bed, between them, and not for an innocent sleepover. What's a gays' best friend to do?

Anyone who loves MMF romance MUST pick up ROMANCING THE BEARD! For a short story, it's filled with laugh-out-loud humor, smokin' hot sex and a wee bit of drama...just enough to make you smile before the HEA happens. While Julia may seem narcissistic (she totally is), you can't help but fall in love with her self-deprecating sense of humor and snappy dialogue. I adored that she made the men double over in laughter, even when trying to be serious. The connection between them all is instantaneous and erotic while still being playful and fun.

I love when an author can write an MM relationship convincingly and not just have the guys rutting like animals the whole time. Ms. Lehoux does a great job making the relationship between the guys, and between the guys and Julia feel natural and not forced. The sex was absolutely yummy, though I kind of wish there was a little more action involving the three of them together!

Mentioning Nana Ashworth directly after praising the sex scenes may seem bizarre, but given the hilarious confrontation that goes down, it's appropriate. Nana is a fantastic character--a rude, crude and racist bitch, but one who adores her grandson so much that you can't help but love her. For an excellent combination of laughs, sex and story, I highly recommend picking up ROMANCING THE BEARD asap!
