When author Ann Omasta titled the books CHANCES AND CHOICES, she made an excellent decision. The storyline focuses on the chances and choices that Abigail has to make in pursuit of true love. With all the challenges that were tossed in her path, it started to sound like a country song...or at least something out of a soap opera. In this particular case, Abigail is required to make a decision with "both" not being an option.
Abigail Brown has hit a low point in life as a 28-year-old divorcee who has never had an orgasm. A chance encounter with the hunky Seth Davis leaves her breathless. As the two settle into a relationship, Abigail discovers by accident that Seth has an identical twin brother, Sam, who is not only able to leave her breathless, but he completely rocks her world.
The character development is especially interesting as Abigail morphs into sexual awareness. For someone who had never experienced an orgasm, she certainly caught on quickly. The heat level in the novel is explosive, but it is soon apparent which twin has captured her heart.
Although the book could use a quick edit to clean up some errors, the story unfolded in a seamless fashion. The author has provided a rich background of secondary characters to support the storyline. Coupled with thorough development of the places depicted in the story, the reader is provided with a clear sense of the environment in which the storyline unfolds.
It was also pleasing to see both books packaged together so the reader isn't left guessing about what happens next. The author does an excellent job laying out Abigail's options...whether it is better to choose someone considered "safe" or take a chance and risk losing everything.
