FOLLY is the first in Sabrina York's Noble Passions series and it is a sizzling story with a bit of spice and a lot of naughty. It was fun and entertaining and kept me enthralled through the entire story.

Lady Eleanor Ulster found herself recently widowed from the man she had called husband for the last five years. While she was thankful to have the marriage at an end, her in-laws were determined that she would walk away penniless. To save herself, she decides she must get herself pregnant and pass the baby off as the Ulster heir. With a limited time frame to work with, she attends a masquerade and finds a stranger to seduce, not knowing that this stranger was her late husband's worst enemy, who has wanted her for years and wants nothing more than to take his revenge out on her.

Ethan Pennington falls into the arms of the beautiful Mignon at a masquerade ball. While he cannot get her out of his mind, he is off to a country party for his best friend's birthday and really can't do anything to track her down. When he arrives and overhears a conversation between Lady Eleanor and her best friend, he comes up with a solution to her problem--he would do all he could to give her the heir she needs but she must do anything he asks of her.

The passion between the two burns very brightly but can love blossom when revenge is a motive?

This book was fantastic. The story moved along at the perfect pace, revealing secrets at the right times, and the fire between Lady Eleanor and Ethan scorched the pages at every turn. While readers are aware fairly close to the beginning of the story of how Lady Eleanor was treated by her late husband, there are more secrets to be revealed throughout the story, which kept it interesting and my eyes glued to the page. The book continues to move forward and the characters are smart and don't irritate the reader with unnecessary angst or drama. There were parts of the book that made me laugh and that really helped keep me involved. The characters had such fantastic chemistry, even the side characters. I could not put this book down. It left me panting for more. Fortunately, the next two books in the series are already out there--Dark Fancy and Dark Duke--because I cannot wait to read more of this world Sabrina York has brought me in to.
