The sizzling prequel to Folly

When Lady Helena Simpson flees an unwanted marriage to a revolting lord, she finds refuge with James, a charming, handsome man unlike any she's ever known. Helena concocts the perfect solution to her problem. She asks—begs—James to ruin her. Surely her betrothed will repudiate her if she is no longer pure. And if all her efforts fail and she still ends up married to a horrid man until the end of her days, she will at least once have known true passion.

But James is not all he seems. He is, in fact, a wicked lord with a dark fancy. When Helena awakens his desire, he becomes determined to take everything she has to offer and more. No matter the cost.

Inside Scoop: Whether they're making love outdoors at a grand estate or getting naughty in a secret sex club in the city, James and Helena put the erotic back in erotic Regency romance.

Wow! If you like your Regency romance with some serious spice, then be prepared because this book will deliver!

In this fantastic prequel to Folly, Sabrina York gives us Helena and James's story. We first met the couple in Ethan and Eleanor's story where the passion they held for each other was obvious even though they weren't the main hero and heroine. In DARK FANCY, we find out how they met and how they got to where they are today.

Helena Eloise Simpson has become betrothed to the Earl of Darlington, a man she saw once at a distance, and cannot stomach the thought of spending her life with him. Not only does she dislike his looks and everything about him but she finds lords in general are selfish creatures who do not care about anyone or anything except themselves. To avoid her impending nuptials, she leaves her home, hoping to find someone that can ruin her so the earl will end the betrothal. She is soon discovered by a kind gentleman who thinks she is a fairy and offers her shelter in his potting shed. When she is discovered the next day by a gorgeous stranger who makes her feel things she has never felt before, she hopes he can be the one to help her on her quest.

When James Tully, Earl of Darlington, discovers a young girl in his potting shed, his first instinct is to find out where she should be and take her back to her family. However, when James realizes that this young girl is not only older than he first thought but makes his body respond in a way it has never responded before, he takes her to the gardener's cottage, determined to make her his. As passion runs hot and heavy between the two of them, James soon decides her wants to keep Helena on a more permanent basis, but with both of them newly betrothed, can they ever have anything more than just the nights in the gardener's cottage?

After reading the first book in the series, I was very interested to see James and Helena's story and I was definitely not disappointed. So far, Sabrina York has always been spot on with her stories for me. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of naughty in them and the sex is always hot but she focuses on the emotion in her stories too and this one was no different. Of course, if you've read Folly, you know how this story will end, but getting there is a great read and one I cannot recommend enough!
