The continuation of the riveting, dark Motorcycle Club (MC) romance which began in Misled. Ms. Kelly does not disappoint! This series just keeps getting better with each book. Ms. Kelly's way with crude biker words and the liberties she takes with grammar rules are just so hilarious and immensely entertaining that you will no doubt devour this book and be looking to read book three of this series, Misunderstood, which tells Johnnie's story and is scheduled to be released later this year!

While the reader should first read Misled in order to fully appreciate the characters and their stories, interestingly, I found this second book in the Death Dweller MC Series to be less dark, crude and gritty than the first book. With more of a mainstream MC romance flavor, I believe MISAPPROPRIATE will appeal to a wider audience while still appealing to those who loved the first book.

In MISAPPROPRIATE, Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell, the President of the Death Dwellers' MC, and Megan "Meggie" Foy (now Caldwell), have recently been married and now have a baby son. Most of the setting of the book revolves around the planning of the couple's church wedding (having previously only been married in a civil ceremony). The fact that Christopher would even agree to a church wedding is a true testament of this alpha bad boy's undying love for Megan, as he is an agnostic and truly has no desire to step into a church, much less wear or force any of his MC brothers' to wear a "monkey suit". Yet, what Megan wants, Christopher makes sure she gets.

Even after this seemingly HEA, however, Outlaw and Meggie are still battling the ghosts of their dark pasts. The main ghost that resurrects itself in MISAPPROPRIATE is Outlaw's father. Throughout the book you get to learn what Outlaw's father's mission is, and as Outlaw and Meggie try to subdue this threat, they are forced to inevitably dredge up old dark behaviors and feelings as they are reminded that, as hard as they are trying to start a new life, they are still plagued by the past and the destructive coping mechanisms they learned long ago to deal with their unfortunate situations. Can their love withstand such an onslaught?

We also get to learn a lot more about a number of the secondary characters in MISAPPROPRIATE. No doubt this leaves Ms. Kelly fertile ground for a number of additional books in this series. I for one can't wait to hear Johnnie's story! Johnnie ("John Boy") is Christopher's cousin, a man who has shared a number of Outlaw's previous women (both on his own and together with Outlaw!), and a man who definitely still has a strong attraction to Meggie. Will Ms. Kelly find a way to ignite this love triangle or is perhaps some new, lucky girl going to be the recipient of Johnnie's future attentions?

MISAPPROPRIATE proves that even the seemingly worst of men can be tamed by love. It is so incredible to see a man like Outlaw, with his terribly dark past, now a captive and servant of his love for Meggie! I highly recommend MISAPPROPRIATE to anyone who loves MC romances!
