For more than fifteen years, Rissa Marten has become adept at assuming new identities in order to keep one step ahead of the cartel that has placed a bounty on her head. She has settled down and become used to her new identity until she gets assigned to a case that puts her on a collision course with her past. Soon, she finds her carefully created shields cracking as she comes face to face with the one man who makes her feel alive.

Full of suspense, SPLINTERED LIES by Karen Lopp delves into life inside a cartel and showcases the lengths the members will go to in order to seek revenge.

There's plenty of emotion packed into the story ranging from some devastatingly realistic torture scenes to some passionate encounters. It's also a story about love being strong enough to heal all wounds, whether physical or emotional.

Jerah and Rissa generate plenty of chemistry, yet as each layer of lies is splintered, the reader wonders whether the relationship can withstand all the challenges. The author presented a compelling storyline with multiple points of development...and then let her characters work through them.
