Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Vamps & Shifters Romance

Life on the run is about to end with a sniper's bullet or an eternal pledge of fealty. Neither suits a seasoned lion shifter.

Shifter Chisholm Barduc has kept his family safe despite the mob's target on their back. Free from any alpha's control as well. But his luck is running out when his teenage daughter falls victim from a local crime. And if his instincts are correct, the beautiful police officer protecting his daughter's secret is the mate Chisholm never believed he'd find. Only she's not buying her role in mated destiny.

Dani Leggett gets the shock of her life witnessing a teenager shifter's first change. And while Dani has supernatural secrets in her closet, she not ready to settle down. But one sexy lion shifter and his brood do their best to turn her life upside down and get under her skin. Now she must decide between remaining true to her professional code of conduct or sacrificing everything for those she loves.

This shifter romance is a mesmerizing and intriguing read with some refreshingly different elements.

Chisholm has to decide whether to accept the rule of an alpha or not in order to protect his children from the mob. When his daughter is involved in an incident that brings the attention of the cops, he knows his time up. But Dani Leggett, the detective who helped his daughter and witnessed her shift, is his mate and he just might have to leave her behind if the bad guys don't find them first.

This fast-paced and smooth-flowing plot keeps the readers on their toes with action, suspense, drama and romance. The author brings the story to life with well-written scenes and details that capture the imagination and well-orchestrated action and suspense scenes are believable and draw the reader deeper into the story. The characters are strong, compelling, easily related to and grab the reader's attention from the very beginning.

The attraction between Dani and Chisholm radiates vibrant passion from every page, but the relationship is hampered by Dani's job and trust issues due to her unusual abilities, not to mention the fact that Chisholm's a lion. The reader can't help but get caught up in the story as the danger to the kids escalates and Chisholm does his best to win Dani over and protect his kids at the same time.

The Fright Night novelette is also a riveting read with a captivating look at Deacon who just happens to be the Alpha that Chisholm asks for help. The author arouses curiosity and fascination with all the charismatic characters and the action and drama of Deacon's rise to becoming the Alpha.

The author has created a fascinating world of shifters with lots of bewitching characters that leave the reader wanting to know more. I was completely engrossed in the story from the very beginning and enjoyed the novelette as well and I can't wait to read the Deacon's book.
