Madison Carmichael's carefully controlled world has just spun off its axis. Not only has jet-setting playboy and investor Jake Colt landed his helicopter in the middle of the biggest photo shoot of her career, she is shocked to discover he purchased her parents' financially troubled winery.
Madison refuses to let this interloper take what belongs to her family, no matter what passions he stirs in her heart. She'll do anything to get him out of Serenity Creek and her family's business, even if it means striking a deal that goes against every grain in her body with the arrogant man himself.
Jake has no interest in handling the Carmichael winery acquisition, but he has little choice considering the business agreement he made with his father. As with all of his father's dealings, there are strings attached, and Jake is determined to cut them at all costs.
If he is going to spend time in the backwards town that reminds him too much of the one that betrayed him all to turn some two bit winery around, he is going to do it on his own terms, which includes encouraging the feisty woman who has captured his attention to break out of her shell and live a little.
But when two opposing forces clash, sparks are bound to fly . . .

When a city dweller falls head over heels for a small town country girl, sparks of all kind fly as they learn to adapt to each other's ways in FEARLESS LOVE.
Madison Carmichael's photography business is on the verge of going under, and the tall dark and handsome man who lands a helicopter in the middle of her career-making shoot hasn't helped matters one bit. When the man introduces himself as the property owner Jake Colt, Madison is livid. Who does this man think he is, claiming her parents' land as his! Maddie quickly learns that her parents have sold their winery to Jake's company and that he's there to help turn things around.
Jake hates small town life and the dinky winery that his father has sent him to reeks of a setup. The only bright spot is the beautiful and intriguing Maddie. As the pair team up to save the winery, decisions make them see one another in new light. She actually makes him want to be a taken man and maybe he's not the playboy he's made out to be in the tabloids. They're falling hard and fast, but would the city dweller be content with stifling small town living?
FEARLESS LOVE is standard contemporary romance fare that will leave you smiling. I venture to say that it may even be considered a Christian romance due to the sweet nature and lack of any sort of sex scene (even the kisses were brief and lukewarm). The "fearless" in FEARLESS LOVE comes from the worries that both the hero and heroine suffer from throughout the book. He's scared of small towns and their gossipy, mean ways while she's scared of flying, large cities, any outdoor activity whatsoever (like walking in the woods) and, obviously, men. Maddie and Jake show one another how to let go and embrace their differences.
While decently written, there was nothing extraordinary about this book, as it pretty much followed the romance writers to-do list from beginning to end: Poor girl meets rich boy, she is impervious to his charms (making him pursue her harder, natch), they both lose their hearts, cue dramatic misunderstanding, enter grand gesture of proof and then cut to everlasting love.
FEARLESS LOVE is perfect for fans of sweet, straight-laced romance that follows the right formula. While Maddie and Jake have chemistry, for those who enjoy a little sizzle, this may not be for you.
