When FBI agent Trent Rossi arrives to investigate a chain of crimes—devastating murders and violent rapes—an inexperienced small town Detective, Charlie, who's assigned to assist, finds her desire surging for the agent—only to realize he is the primary suspect.
A sleeping threat has awakened in the small town of Nyack. Crimes in the cozy village, garner the attention of the FBI, who assign two agents to assist Charlie in tracking down the sick and deranged perpetrator. Agents Trent Rossi and Dillon Echols work closely with Charlie, but as the crimes progress, dark secrets begin to cloud the air, blurring the line between who is on the side of the law and who's against it. Being Charlie's first major case, she's unprepared not only for the menacing killer on the loose, but also with the unexpected feelings Trent draws out of her.
While Trent holds secrets, disappears at random, and seems to understand their perpetrator all-too-well, Charlie's suspicions grow along with the pull she feels toward him. Her attraction could become fatal, yet she does not realize it until it is too late.

INTIMATE DANGER may make you question what random guys on the street are wearing under their suits or jeans, as a mental bad dude with a lingerie fetish works his way through the female residents of a small town.
Dectective Charlese "Charlie" Lopez is at her wits' end with the peeping Tom plaguing her hometown. When she's put on the case, she quickly realizes that this isn't your everyday garden variety perv...he quickly escalates to stealing lingerie and interacting with his victims. When Special Agent Trent Rossi is sent in to assist, Charlie's pissed but also immediately fascinated by the textbook definition of tall, dark and handsome, and the attraction is definitely returned by Agent Rossi.
As the attacks escalate and there's no subject in sight, Charlie starts to suspect that Trent is hiding something pretty serious, something that may make him a suspect in what has become a serial killer case. Charlie begs Trent to open up to her, but his refusals put both of them in danger as her heart is telling her one thing and her training is telling her something else altogether. Charlie will need to trust her instincts if she's going to avoid being next on the killer's list.
INTIMATE DANGER was a fun and fresh read with a crazy villain obsessed with women's lingerie, a young and sexy detective with the need to prove herself and a tongue-tied FBI agent who wants to help and protect her. After reading other reviews, I really had high hopes for this book, but once I got into the story I found that there were a lot of things that didn't make sense. I had to keep re-reading chapters to try and discern exactly what was happening, which was really frustrating and interrupted the flow of the book for me. Additionally, while the plot was solid, the execution lacked that brisk, edge of your seat feeling that I enjoy in a good romantic suspense book.
I did like Charlie's character and felt like she was a woman that many could relate to--fiercely independent yet questioning herself and her decisions all the time, including her reactions to her internal spidey sense. I suppose I would question my choices regarding a man if he ran as hot and cold as Trent did. One minute he's a blubbering fool with hearts in his eyes at the sight of Charlie, the next he's leaving her high and dry, acting secretive and pushing her away. I couldn't exactly grasp what it was that was so necessary to keep from Charlie for that long and in the rude ways he did.
The danger and suspense was really well written, and the villain was beyond creeptastic!! Completely off the charts insane and one of the funnest bad guys I've read in awhile. Overall, this was a good romantic suspense book and one I recommend to fans of that genre, but with the caveat to prepare to be frustrated and confused on occasion as you muster your way through INTIMATE DANGER.
