AJ has psychic abilities and knows Drew is her soul mate. But bisexual Drew flits from partner to partner. At the moment he's with Kristien, and Kristien is very much in love with Drew. AJ can't bear the thought that the only way for her to achieve happiness is to break Kristien's heart.

She invites them both to join her and her friends at the beach for a few days, hoping to get closer to Drew. A rocky wall calls to her, and when she climbs up, she explores a cave and is led to three stones—an onyx, an emerald, and amber.

What do they mean?

Three gemstones ready to be found, three distinct individuals ready to come together. In PROTECTING YOU, you'll get a short erotic story that'll take no time at all to read.

Psychic AJ just knows that Drew is her soul mate, so she can't understand why his relationship with Kristien is going strong! Her bisexual future mate is clearly in love and deeply loved by the gay Kristien, and as much as AJ wants Drew, she's desperate not to hurt Kristien. When AJ invites the men to stay for a few days at the beach with her, she has no clue that she's about to find something rare and very special inside a cave. The three of them will have to figure out what the emerald, onyx and amber mean before they'll truly be connected.

PROTECTING YOU is book 2 in the Gemstone Romances collection of very short novellas from Evernight Publishing and Ms. Brown. At just 34 pages, this short read is perfect for a stint on the treadmill or while waiting for your doctor's appointment. While this book was way too brief for me to connect with any of the characters, I didn't feel that AJ had a deep connection with either of the men either. Drew and Kristien are in love and while Ms. Brown says they're "meant" to be a triad, I just didn't feel that AJ was vital to the men in any way.

The plot moved very quickly yet featured some hot guy on guy action as well as some yummy MMF sex between the three of them. Unfortunately, PROTECTING YOU won't win any awards for its ingenuity or strange style of writing.
