Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense/Mystery
Elise Amberson's husbands always die before she can get the marriage momentum going. At least this last one left her with lots of money. Now she can hang out with her dogs, avoid men, and try to keep off God's radar.
But her dogs are behaving oddly, a pesky pastor can't keep his hands off her soul, and God is backing her into a corner.
It's all more than a rich, beautiful young woman should have to bear. But when someone begins targeting Elise, she'll have to figure out why before she becomes the late Widow Amberson.

The Amberson family is in shambles with all fingers seemingly being pointed at Elise for the death of her husband. When an old friend offers her comfort, she finds herself facing her inner demons, particularly her faith in God.
Author Anita Klumpers skillfully handles the challenges of Elise's faith in HOUNDED. Full of drama, suspense and humor, this is a beautiful story that will keep your attention.
Elise's experiences mirror reality in so many ways. Often, true believers turn away from their faith in the midst of tragedy. Elise holds fast to her resistance. As the story progresses, she and her old friend Russ find themselves having some deep theological debates. As chaos breaks out around them, Elise is desperate to find answers.
Add two playful canines, the worst relatives ever and a persistent police detective and this story will keep you guessing until the end.
