Book 3 of Real Romance Collection
Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense/Mystery

*This book is part of a COLLECTION not a series, different characters, different settings. They all center around people with "real" jobs, (teachers, firemen, construction workers, roadies...) unlike my other collections which feature rock stars and royalty. They can be read in any order.) *

When an unhappy youth leaves him damaged, will Teddy Mckee be able to find love?
"Teddy Passmore McKee was born in Cork, Ireland, with a limp and a chip on his shoulder that threw his balance off all the more." When he falls in love with the dark haired beauty born of an Irish father and a Spanish mother, will Gabrielle Quinn be able to restore his balance? And what about the charming Sean Hennessey? When Gabby catches his eye, too, will Teddy's playboy best friend cause his own damage?

Fourteen years later, will Teddy and Gabrielle's son be able to overcome the damage done to him in his childhood?
"Even through bloodshot eyes he could see she was different." But can Michael leave behind the bottle, and his womanizing ways, to win over the lovely Tess Flanagan? Tess has sustained some damage of her own. Can she and Michael overcome the terrors of the past and learn how to love each other?

And if they do, will they be able to elude those after them who want to create their own damage?
On the run after an altercation leaves their boss in a pool of blood, will Michael and Tess be able to stay one step ahead of their pursuers? Or is it simply too late to correct the damage that has been done?

Teddy McKee is a young boy with a handicap whose early years leave him broken and angry without any support of family or friends. He meets Gabriela Quinn, a beauty of Irish and Spanish decent. She also catches the eye of Teddy's playboy best friend, Sean Hennessy. His dealings with Sean have Teddy making some bad choices that lead to hard consequences for him and ultimately his loved ones.

This brings us to the second part of the story, which includes Teddy and Gabby's son Michael. He has his demons to overcome and meets a woman named Tess. Tess has had a tragic life as well. Can they come together and start a new life? Can they find love in each other? Could there be too much damage done to repair?

It is always a joy for me to read an M.J. Schiller book, this being my fourth book of hers. I knew I would love it. This romantic collection has certainly stolen my heart with each individual story. Every couple has their own unique tale to tell. DAMAGE DONE is no exception, a touching novel of life, love and tragedy told in two separate yet intertwined stories.

The realism of the setting and the characters in this story only proved more what a talented writer M.J. Schiller is. This novel flowed nicely, making me feel like I was in Ireland with each scene setting. Truly well written. The dialogue was spot on. This is not just a story of romance, but also a story of sadness and sorrow. Of a boy brought up in a tough childhood, bringing his demons to adulthood and later passing them on to his own child.

I love that this felt like two stories in one book, but yet the first story surged so nicely into the second, making me all the more excited to see what would happen next, whether Michael and Tess would get their happily ever after. The suspense of Michael and Tess running from danger was very exciting to read and well thought out. You can easily feel the emotion of each character throughout the book.

DAMAGE DONE is a story about choices and the consequences of the choices we make.

As always, I look forward to the next M.J. Schiller book in my to be read list.
