COWBOY BOOTS FOR CHRISTMAS is another splendid read from Carolyn Brown! I really love her books, and as usual, she has outdone herself on this one.

This book kicks off the new burnt Boot Series with a Christmas miracle for everyone involved in the story. The very sexy Finn O'Donnell is our hero in this one. He gets a second chance at love in this story. Callie was the woman who got away, so to speak. Finn seemed rather happy when his ex-partner unexpectedly showed up on his doorstep looking for a place to lay low for a while. It seems that her precocious young nephew saw something bad and now he's in danger. Things moved along very quickly and soon it's looking like something more permanent might be on the horizon for these two.

Then the story started taking some heartwarming and hilarious turns that absolutely thrilled this reader to death. The smile never left my face as I devoured it in one sitting. Now, admittedly, I am a huge fan who loves all of her books, but I can honestly say that this one is my favorite Carolyn Brown book yet. It was great! It's hard to express without giving too much away, but it was so heartwarming and emotional. It was something special that's for sure.

The characters were wonderful and there was an abundance of passion and laughter throughout. I can happily say that it had some memorably hilarious situations. This author must have one wildly creative imagination to dream this stuff up and bring it to the lucky readers. I've come to expect that with her books and she sure didn't let me down with this one. I tell you, I laughed right out loud until my kids wanted to know what was so darn funny in the book I was reading. Of course, I didn't tell them that there was a loud-mouthed bird that kept cracking me up every time I turned the page. I kept quiet about the sassy granny with a heart of gold. I never said a word about the Wild West feud and some of the crazy stunts they pulled. I left out the good stuff about the passion and romance for Callie and Finn and how they found room in their hearts for a special Christmas miracle. So what to say about the chuckles and that big smile on my face? I told them it was a feel-good book that made me laugh and smile. I think that said it pretty well.

I'm just gonna tell you that I loved this book. I'm giving it five flying stars because it was one of the best books I've read. It's one that won't be put away and forgotten. I know it will be a repeat read for me. I think everyone should read it and will probably enjoy the laughter.
