Behind every good man…is the love of an even better woman.
Those were just pretty words before I met Claire Montgomery. Before my fairy queen burst into my life, I didn't recognize the bastard in my morning mirror—but her love has given me the strength to face the imposter, even embrace him. My tower in the clouds is no longer a sentence of isolation; it's a jumping point to the stars. With Claire at my side, I'm the king I always wanted to be, the Killian Stone I always dreamed of becoming.

Let the Masks Fall Where They May
With Killian and Claire's romance now outed, they are spending an inordinate amount of time getting to know each other. While Claire has thrown her mask away and toppled the walls she built around herself, Killian is not so eager to return the favor. In fact, his secret is destroying him from the inside. They always say that things done in the dark will eventually come to light, and Killian Stone's light is about to shine like a lighthouse beacon. When the walls of his kingdom come tumbling down, Killian is caught off guard and rendered immobile. The multiple losses rock him to his core and leave him not only doubting his abilities but also questioning who he really is. Will Killian let ghosts from his past steal away his future with his fairy queen?
This book was emotionally charged from the start. My mouth literally fell open when the secrets (yes, there was more than one) were revealed. There were times when my heart broke for both Killian and Claire and times when I wanted to shake them both. These two take stubborn to a whole new level, which only made their make-up sessions hotter.
I absolutely loved this book. It was suspenseful, nerve-wracking, and had me pulling my hair out! Killian and Claire are a couple you will love from the word go. You will root for them. You will go through the ups and downs of their union. You will also have to sit in a tub of ice when they get horizontal.
All in all, this was an excellent follow-up to a really great love story. Angel Payne and Victoria Blue have written two quality characters who will keep the reader coming back for more. They've made us believe that true love can trump any obstacles, and dreams, big or small, really can come true.
