"I didn't want to put the book down!" ~ Under the Covers 4 Feather Review
ONE WEEK is all it will take...
A week in Las Vegas and she will feel better about herself. At least that is what Dacotah Miller is hoping will be the case.
Left at the alter, heart broken and ashamed, Dacotah takes the opportunity offered by her girlfriends - the chance to get away. The opportunity to escape her mundane life in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin.
But what Dacotah doesn't know is that lurking in Las Vegas is the chance of a lifetime, a dream come true, in the form of Derek Hunter.
Derek, in town on business, can't seem to focus on his purpose once Dacotah walks into his field of vision. She beautiful and just what he needs to cure his desire for a good woman in his bed. Only she presents a challenge to him unlike anything he's ever experienced before.
Dacotah will be wrapped up in a whirlwind of unexpected events that will force her to make a decision, life changing choice. Does she get on the plane back to boring Wisconsin and wonder what might have been? Or will she step on board a private jet that promises to take her on a journey she will never forget?

An indecent proposal in Vegas leads to a couple finding their soul mate in one another.

After catching her fiancé with another woman…at her rehearsal dinner…Dacotah Miller is DONE! At her BFF's insistence, she's whisked off to Vegas, and it's clear immediately that she's not in Wisconsin anymore! When she meets a mysterious and beautiful man she dubs Orion, Cotah loses herself completely in his presence. Gazillionaire Derek Hunter is used to women falling all over him, but Cotah is different. Refreshing. He asks her to spend the week with him and she agrees, learning about how the other half lives and about herself and her own blooming desires. But they've only got one week together, and Cotah knows that men like Derek just don't go for girls like her for more than a fling, even if she desperately wants more.

ONE WEEK is the third book in the overall "world" that Ms. Derrick started in the Love's Wings Series, and most recently the 69 Bottles Series. This story is pretty much the modern book version of the movie "Pretty Woman," though unfortunately not nearly as good. Though I'm a huge fan of Ms. Derrick's works, ONE WEEK honestly wasn't my favorite, as the length, editing errors and character development left me frustrated.

Dacotah was terribly annoying; with her hot and cold demeanor and naivety, she brought little to the table in terms of strength of character. And I'm not sure why she or Derek both think that she's not a prostitute…he's compensating her (and her girlfriends) for spending the week with him, having sex with him when and where he wants it, and basically being his beck and call girl…ah…darlin', just because you put a pretty name on it doesn't make it any less true! Real talk.

Derek acted all Alpha male but had a softer spot that Cotah brought out in him, which I found unusual based on what I know of his character from other books by Ms. Derrick. His need to throw money at everything, including Cotah, got old pretty quick, as did her constant need for compliments and apologies from the man. Her back and forth "he doesn't want me, this is horrible" and "this is the most blissful week of my life and I love him" drove me bonkers!!! And while the sex was raw and raunchy and hot as hell, that was the only bright spot for me in this insanely lengthy read.

Bottom Line: It took me almost one week to get through ONE WEEK and I couldn't wait for it to be done.
