Roe Davis is a man who works hard, keeps to himself, and never mixes business with pleasure -- until he takes a weekend away from his new job at Nowhere Ranch and runs into the owner at the only gay bar for two hundred miles. Getting involved with the boss is a bad idea, but Travis Loving is hard to say no to, especially when it turns out their kinks line up like a pair of custom-cut rails. As Loving points out, so long as this is sex on the side, no interfering with the job, they could make it work.
The truth is, there's good reason Roe never settles down and always spends his birthdays and holidays celebrating alone. Shut out in the cold by his family years ago, Roe survived by declaring he didn't need a home. As his affair with Loving grows into more than just sex, Roe finds out what happens when he stays put a little bit too long: the past always catches up with you. Eventually, even a loner gets lonely, and home will grow up through whatever cracks you leave open for it -- even in a place called Nowhere.
Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Male/male sexual practices, strong BDSM theme and elements, fetish play.

An erotic m/m romance with amazing characters, sensuality and shows the power of love, NOWHERE RANCH simply blew me away.
Roe Davis has been going from job to job for years since his family kicked him out of their lives for being gay. He has been working on ranches, being mindful to not make friends or have relationships. He liked to work hard and play harder. But his life changed when he took a weekend away from his job at the Nowhere Ranch. Planning to pick up a one-night stand in a nearby town, he runs into the owner of the ranch, Travis Loving. Roe and Travis start a no strings attached affair, but over time, it grows into something else. And although he never expected it, he finds friends, love, and home in Nowhere.
I can't describe the how deeply this book affected me. There are simply too many things to talk about in trying to illustrate how good this book is. I'd probably be here all day. But we'll start with the characters.
Roe Davis is a man who has felt inadequate his whole life. He knows he's different and a disappointment to those who are supposed to love him unconditionally. But he finds the true meaning of family when he comes to Nowhere Ranch. I loved watching him grow throughout the book. It brought tears to my eyes watching him not only accept but also give love to Travis and his friends.
Travis Loving is dominant and well...loving. He has had lost love in the past but he's willing to put himself out there to love again. He sees the good in Roe and wants him to see it as well. He's not perfect, and has his own issues to deal with, but he shows Roe that there are people who can love you without any strings attached.
There were great secondary characters as well. Haley, Roe's best friend, was hell on wheels, and I loved her! Even those characters I didn't like were three-dimensional and added to the overall feel of the story.
The plot is amazing and well developed. For a short novel (about 130 pages), it's got a lot of background and history of the main characters, amazingly well-developed secondary characters, as well as a great ending that leaves us with great hope for a future. The dialogue is realistic, sexy, and at times funny as well.
The eroticism of the book was off the charts. Travis and Roe are involved in a very intense BDSM relationship. There are some hardcore scenes in the book that may be too graphic for some people. There is pony play, bondage, and a fisting scene. But, honestly, the sex was integral to the development of the men's relationship.
Five enthusiastic stars! NOWHERE RANCH--a wonderful erotic romance, with amazing characters, an emotionally charged and well-developed plot, and erotic love scenes. This is my first Heidi Cullinan novel, but I must say that I am already a fan.
