- Book 1 of A Deanna Madden Novel
Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance, Romantic Suspense/Mystery
I haven't touched a human in three years. That seems like it would be a difficult task, but it's not. Not anymore, thanks to the internet.
I am, quite possibly, the most popular recluse ever. Not many shut-ins have a 200-member fan club, a bank account in the seven-figure range, and hundreds of men lining up to pay for undivided attention.
They get satisfaction, I get a distraction. Their secret desires are nothing compared to why I hide... my lust for blood, my love of death.
Taking their money is easy. Keeping all these secrets... one is bound to escape.
What if you hid yourself away because all you could think of was killing? And what if one girl's life depending on you venturing into society?
Enter a world of lies, thrills, fears, and all desires, in this original thriller from A. R. Torre.

This has got to be one of the most original stories I have ever read! Wow, to live in the mind of Alessandra Torre would be neverendingly entertaining! I love her twisty, unpredictable stories so much that I will read anything she writes, even, in this case, when it comes to some subjects that I may otherwise never have chosen to read about. In that regard, please note that this book does deal with some very disturbing matters, from sex fetishes to killing obsessions and therefore may not be appropriate for all readers. If you, like me however, like books that like to push the envelope, then I highly recommend THE GIRL IN 6E.
Deanna Madden has been in a self-imposed isolation for three years. In all that time she has found a way to survive in her tiny apartment in 6E, via the Internet. She makes a living as a cam girl, who for $6.99 a minute, can make any of your sexual fantasies come true. And all her basic needs, from toilet paper to meals, are ordered online and delivered to her door.
She is so terrified of her inner demons, an inexplicable pull that causes her to be consumed with the desire to kill, that she will not even open her door for the UPS man, Jeremy. A man she has come to know through the thick protection of her extra fortified door. Never wanting to push her too far, Jeremy quickly learned to sign the digital signature for her packets, no matter how expensive, and leave promptly following her predictable, "Just leave it at the door, please" command. Although Jeremy could have any countless number of women, there is just something about her mysterious nature that intrigues him, and he holds out hope to one day break through her walls.
As luck would have it, such an opportunity presents itself and he comes face to face with her all-consuming need. Rather than being scared away, however, he becomes even more determined to be the one man to tame her. Then fate intervenes again, when Deanna becomes so worried about the sick age play fetish of one of her "clients" that she decides that just this once, the world may be safer if she does venture out. Where true evil lurks, can even a demon become a saint? Moreover, once she relishes in the feel of human comfort again, especially the omnipotent feel of desire and love, can Deanna's future possibly have a HEA?
What an intense psychological journey! THE GIRL IN 6E will take you to a world where twisted desires and fears, and horrendous life-altering past experiences and secrets, are paramount to understanding human nature. Can the mind ever be tamed to allow the heart to seek what it craves? Romantic suspense and thriller lovers craving an original read will not want to miss THE GIRL IN 6E!
