Paranormal Romance, Vamps & Shifters Romance
The war between the Redwood Pack and the Centrals is one of wolf legend. Gina Eaton lost both of her parents when a member of their Pack betrayed them. Adopted by the Alpha of the Pack as a child, Gina grew up within the royal family to become an enforcer and protector of her den. She's always known fate can be a tricky and deceitful entity, but when she finds the one man that could be her mate, she might throw caution to the wind and follow the path set out for her, rather than forging one of her own.
Quinn Weston's mate walked out on him five years ago, severing their bond in the most brutal fashion. She not only left him a shattered shadow of himself, but their newborn son as well. Now, as the lieutenant of the Talon Pack's Alpha, he puts his whole being into two things: the safety of his Pack and his son.
When the two Alphas put Gina and Quinn together to find a way to ensure their treaties remain strong, fate has a plan of its own. Neither knows what will come of the Pack's alliance, let alone one between the two of them. The past paved their paths in blood and heartache, but it will take the strength of a promise and iron will to find their future.

RAWR! Ok, so maybe it's more like GROWL...but either way, this book was super fun and fabulous!
Gina Jamenson's wolf needs to STOP panting over the luscious male in the conference room. Can't she see that business needs attending to?! As a half wolf, half witch hybrid, Gina was raised as a member of the royal family in the Redwood Pack after her parents were killed by a traitor, but she'd never attended a meeting between her pack and the Talon Pack. She's pretty sure she needs to make a good impression...if only her wolf would shut the hell up! Gina is stunned when she's asked to lead a council between the packs alongside the delicious Quinn Weston. Hopefully her wolf will stop wanting to rub up against him and play nicely.
Quinn doesn't get his fierce reaction upon meeting Gina. Correction: he gets it all too well, and is definitely going to fight what his wolf wants. He's no cub; attraction doesn't mean he has to act on it for goddess' sake! But when a threat to his son changes everything, Quinn will do whatever it takes to save his boy, even if it means sleeping with the enemy.
WICKED WOLF is a novella in the Redwood Pack series by Carrie Ann Ryan, and also a stand-alone book in the innovative and fun 1001 Dark Nights series featuring magical and mystical erotic stories by a variety of popular authors inspired by the classic The Arabian Nights tale.
I'm typically not one for shifter romances, but this one was really fun and well written. Though I've never read any other stories in the Redwood Pack series, I didn't feel lost at all when reading WICKED WOLF. The immediate chemistry between Gina and Quinn was raw and sexy as hell. Gina was a seriously kickass chick, a total badass who held power and knew how to use it smartly. Quinn was so rude to her, and I sorta felt like his constant back and forths over his "true" feelings for Gina were a bit annoying. The sex scenes were erotic and wild and untamed and I loved every second!
My only beef with WICKED WOLF is that Gina's last name in the book description wasn't the same as it was in the book itself, a minor thing that only the uber anal would care about, but something that the author should probably remedy.
Bottom Line: Fun and frisky dance with wolves that'll have you wanting to pick up more in this series.
