I was happy in my small town. In my life as a single, thirty-two year old woman. I had a good job, wonderful friends, my independence.

I also hadn't got laid in three years. Hadn't been on a date in two. Had stopped counting calories and wearing makeup... a while ago.

Then Brett Jacobs waltzed in. Caressed my thigh, dug rough fingers into my hair, lowered his soft mouth to my skin, took sexual control of my mind and stirred it all around with what he packed in his pants. He flipped my quiet life upside down and crawled into a place in my heart I thought was dead.

The issue is his secret.
The issue is her.
The issue is that I don't even know she exists, and he thinks she's dead.
The issue is that shit is about to hit the fan and I can't hold on to him tight enough.

Alessandra Torre does it again! I am endlessly fascinated by Ms. Torre's ability to mingle salacious, erotic stories with an intriguing, mind-bending, suspenseful plot! This book is both hot and thought-provoking, two of my favorite characteristics for a must read! In fact, it was so engaging, that I devoured it in just two sittings! I just could not put it down until I learned the whole truth.

For fans of Ms. Torre's works, I would say that if The Girl in 6E and Black Lies had an affair, TIGHT would be their love child. TIGHT has all of the suspense and mystery that made Black Lies so special, while at the same time mixing in some of the darker, seedier, moral envelope pushing themes addressed in The Girl in 6E. In that regard, it is worth noting that while this book does not go into heavy descriptive detail (like some other dark romances), it does nonetheless deal with some pretty disturbing, dark topics, like the sex slave industry, and therefore may not be appropriate for all readers.

I will be brief in my plot description, as I don't want to spoil the story for you, and the mystery surrounding what is actually taking place is a very large part of what makes this such a fantastic read. Suffice it to say that this is a story about Riley Johnson, a 32 year-old woman from a small Florida town, who after a long dry spell, meets a rich, sexy man while she is away vacationing in the Bahamas for a friend's bachelorette party.

Bret Jacobs knows just how to push all of Riley's buttons in just the right way. But when, in the cold light of day, it turns out that he wants more than a one night stand, that is when Riley's life really gets all twisted around. Just who is this Bret Jacobs and what is his agenda; and why is it that she just can't help but to submit to him?

I love the writing style of this story, which is similar to Black Lies. There are chapters told in a number of different viewpoints and you also get flashbacks to the past, which help challenge your sleuthing skills. Although I had an idea of what might actually be happening, Ms. Torre challenged me at every turn, and there were a number of times when I started doubting my conclusions. The whole way through though, you are treated to highly erotic scenes, and, in the end, you feel highly satisfied with how the whole story comes together.

All in all, another hit for Ms. Torre! Ms. Torre is such an amazingly talented erotic suspense writer, that she has now won a top spot in my go-to list for writers in this sub-genre. I am happy to read anything that she writes, as I know that I will always get a complicated, well-thought out, highly erotic read that is sure to leave me at the edge of my seat and firmly mesmerized to its end!
