A journey halfway across the world. Could it be the worst decision she ever made? Or the best? These two people have never seen each other but have communicated via email. So could they have found their happily ever after? But one wrong decision could end everything.

From the moment I read the first two pages, it was like I was transported to something that happened to me about 12 years ago, and that was when I started talking to my late husband. I couldn't believe that this woman was talking to a man that was halfway around the world and she was actually thinking about going to meet him for a whole two weeks. But then again, I did the same thing but only for one week. I started talking to my late husband over the phone and only after a couple of months went to visit him. To me, the connection is so much stronger when you get to know the person from the inside instead of seeing them and maybe making the decision based on appearance.

Then when the discussion between her and her best friend happened, I remember the same discussion that happened between me and my mother. I couldn't help but to start laughing because I remember thinking the what-if's--what if he is a serial killer, what if he is a psycho a madman, etc. But enough of that. Let's get to the amazing things that happened in this story between Jessica and Whip.

Jessica Butler-Reid and Whip McGregor have been having a flirtatious romance via email but it was only supposed to be her asking questions about his military experience. Then after a couple of emails back and forth, they took it to a different level and before they knew it, the emails were hot and steamy. Now she finds herself on a plane to Australia to meet the man that has invaded her mind, body and maybe even her soul. Sure she needed to come up with a little white lie of why she was going halfway around the world, but then she also needed to talk to her best friend and let her know that she would be okay and would keep in touch with her.

There was no way that Whip could leave his home without his brothers giving him a little raze. His brothers were all comedians and then to learn that Whip was actually a twin but taken, oh my. I could not believe the advice that they were giving him about him still being a gentleman even if she was not attractive, but then again Jessica's best friend wasn't any better.

So after a very long flight, Jessica and Whip finally meet and in my opinion it was love at first sight. They couldn't keep their hands to themselves from the moment they got into their hotel room. They totally burned up the sheets. The part that I love the most when he is touring her around Australia was when they finally left the hotel and they stopped by the open zoo to be able to see the animals roaming on the open land. That was amazing. That would be a moment that would stay with me forever.

Jessica enjoyed herself and I knew that Whip enjoyed having her there with him but then things changed. The ex-girlfriend came back from England and I knew that it bothered Jessica but what could she do? But that was not the only thing--Whip's little sister ended up coming home early from school due to an outbreak of the flu. When she was introduced, I knew that she was going to tear Jessica and Whip apart but I didn't know she would take it as far as she did. I couldn't believe the things that came out of her mouth. What was worse was that I could see the devastation in not only Jessica but also Whip. Just when I thought they were going to have their happily ever after, her world was thrown from its axis.

OBSESSION DOWN UNDER is a story that was beautifully written. The writing was vivid and passionate. I have to say that this is a storyline that intrigued me not only because it reminded me of my own life but because I don't think I have read a story like this before. The characters were strong and they touched my heart. Jessica was a beautiful, strong-minded, passionate woman that I adored. Then there was Whip. What can I say about him, but that he was a gentleman, passionate, dominant and old-fashioned. I love when I am able to connect with the characters in the stories that I read.

This story was funny, passionate and well balanced. This is a read that I truly recommend.
