[Siren Sensations: Erotic Consensual BDSM Romantic Suspense, paddling, sex toys, HEA]

Loren is interested in Ross from the first night she meets him. But despite what her roommate's brother says, Loren doesn't think Ross has the slightest interest in her.

Ross is more than interested in Loren. Unfortunately, he's not sure she can handle the real him, his darker side.

Until the night her world is ripped apart at the seams, and Ross can't fix it despite desperately wishing he could. The only thing he can do is help Loren through it the best he can, and spend the rest of their lives together showing her how he feels.

Now it's thirty years later, and the past comes calling. Loren doesn't know all the facts, but she knows Ross is the center of her world. She'll do anything and everything in her power to shield him. Because even though some things can't be fixed, Ross made them right. And Loren will face the past alone, if necessary, to save their future.

Loren and Ross seem to be a fixture in the Venture BDSM community. They are the people newbies go to for mentoring and support. It's never been explained how these two met. In THINGS MADE RIGHT, the story is finally revealed and it's a tabloid-worthy one filled with sexual violence, frat boys and revenge.

This story flips back and forth between past and present. The transitions between the two are smooth and easy to follow. Seeing the difference between young Loren and older Loren is pretty cool. Ross seems to be essentially the same in both times which is a nice consistency. Ross's sweet courting of Loren is innocent and almost too staid. The event which binds the two of them together is appalling. Unfortunately, it's a more common occurrence in today's college life. The way Ross and Loren come together and grow closer is a beautiful event.

What I liked about this story is the how BDSM isn't the focal point of this story. It's an added element to enhance the tale. In addition, it shows how a D/s dynamic would incorporate punishment. It also shows how the dominant responds to punishment sessions. This is particularly nice to see because many who are not in the lifestyle and read these kind of books make assumptions about punishment and how the dominant really feels. Ms. Dalton does a lovely job of showing how Doms are human too. And for them, punishment isn't pleasure either. Showing the requisite punishment scene from Ross's perspective may help those who find punishment humiliating or wrong to see it in a different light.

This is a BDSM lite tale and can be read as a standalone. For those who wonder about punishment with a cane, this book is a good representation. This story is recommended to kinky readers who are hooked on this series.
