When he pushes her to her limits, placing her in a cage like a pet, she discovers he knows who she is, and means to exact revenge. She considers calling the Castle safeword to end their time together, but some part of her won't allow it. Somehow she must survive three nights as his slave and keep her heart in the process.

What happens when an uptight food critic who rips apart an arrogant chef in a restaurant review run into each other at a BDSM weekend retreat? Lessons are learned, punishments are dealt, orgasms are had...many many orgasms are had.
Portia Sands has decided to spend New Year's at a BDSM resort and she is excited at the prospect of submitting to a dominant. That is until she realizes that David Marone is not only there but he bids on her at a charity auction and wins. Angry at her for her scathing attack on him as a person, he intends to get revenge. One way or another.
Darling Adams does a wonderful job fleshing out the story from the location to the various scenes to the characters themselves. She touches upon the variety of people and activities one might run into in a scenario like this as she seamlessly weaves together the different characters, attributing just the right amount of personality at each turn.
What she did well: her sensualization of food from preparation to consuming; the interactions between the dominant and the submissive; the dominant's continual ability to read the needs of the submissive and act accordingly; the marvelous eroticism.
Lovers of BDSM stories, and spanking in particular, will enjoy PUNISHING PORTIA on many levels. Those new to the ideas and lifestyle shouldn't find the story overwhelming, but may find that they would prefer not to sit down anytime soon.
