If I thought the first book in this series was awesome, this one is epic!!
Wind Dragons MC member Arrow hasn't been with a woman since his girl Mary died 5 years ago. The fact that he was in prison for avenging her murder probably has a lot to do with that. The first woman to even stir his dormant libido is one that he shouldn't even be looking at, his club brother Rake's little sister Anna.
Doctoral student Anna sees that Arrow is barely hanging on to his sanity, and even though she should be scared, or at the very least wary of the ex con, something about him makes her want to help him. The fact that she finds him wildly sexy doesn't hurt! Arrow's demons won't allow him to consider Anna his, and he forces himself to stay away from her for her own good. But fate has other plans, and it's tough to deny the magnetic pull that brings them together over and over again. It's too bad the odds are stacked against them, with Arrow's deadly criminal past, Anna's brother, and of course the horde of whores all pining away for the baddest of the bad guys. Anna's not one to take shit from anyone though, and once she's made up her mind about what she wants, nothing's going to sway her.
ARROW'S HELL is the second book in the Wind Dragons MC
series and it is FABULOUS, like gold star fabulous! I would definitely recommend reading book one first, Dragon's Lair, to get the backstory as to why this Arrow is so broken. However, Ms. Fernando does a good job at giving enough information that the reader can come in and not be lost. I adored the first book and Arrow's part in it, but this…this book is a piece of art. Stormy and moody and dark yet funny and, most importantly, SMART, it's one of the better story lines I've read in an erotic romance. There were so many terrific lines in this book, like this killer gem:
"I read somewhere that the worst mistake a woman can make is to fall in love with a man's potential."
Anna was amazing, so strong and such a fighter. I liked that she didn't shy away from bearing her true personality, both with her brother and Arrow, and also her propensity to throw a big middle finger to any woman who dared to give her attitude. Even though she's clearly an untamed wildcat, she's also loyal as hell to anybody who she considers her family. Arrow is just so wickedly sexy. Damaged and broken and hopeless until Anna comes into his life and makes him want to be a better man. And once he finally admits what anyone with eyes can see, watch out!
The chemistry between them is stunning, and Ms. Fernando builds that up like few authors I've ever read. I was seriously loving that the sex didn't happen right off the bat. It was a fabulous back and forth game that Anna and Arrow played, and it was more arousing than a lot of the more erotic sex scenes I've read in other books. While the sex itself was surprisingly vanilla, the scenes were sensually hot and heartfelt and all around stunning.
Bottom Line: I may like this book better than the first one, but I know I'll be recommending both of them wholeheartedly to my gf's! I can't wait for Tracker's story coming up next, as he may be my favorite character of all.
