THE MILLIONAIRE DADDY PROJECT by Roxanne Snopek is an entertaining read that touches upon a few life lessons that everyone should take notice of. Work is not everything and sometimes other priorities need to come in first.
Dane Bergman is a very successful businessman and he got there by putting work ahead of everything. His determination, talent, and all work attitude is why he is a millionaire. But when he finds out he has a four-year-old daughter he never knew about, he's going to have to make some changes.
Dane's assistant, Pamela, does everything for him. She's one of the very few people he can always count on. So it's only logical that he assigns Pamela to watch his daughter. Only, Pamela has a few issues with that. She knows that unless he spends some uninterrupted time with his daughter, their relationship will never take off and they will never connect. In the process of getting them to connect, Pamela and Dane do some connecting of their own.
This storyline has been done before. Successful millionaire finds out he has a child and doesn't know what to do with it. Begs his faithful assistant to help him with the kid and eventually the hero has a defining moment and realizes he's in love with the woman, even though he's never thought of her in a romantic way. That being said, I enjoyed this author's take on it, and the emotions her characters presented made this a favorite for me.
I really enjoyed Dane as the hero. He had heart. He wasn't stuck up or superior just because he could be. He actually cares about the people he interacts with. There are many moments in the story where Dane proves he has a big heart and cares about others. Pamela is perfect for Dane. She never lets him get away with anything. She held her own and said what she was thinking. She didn't hold anything back, just because he was her boss. Dane's daughter was adorable in the story. She had the right emotions a kid should have in the situation she was forced into. Her vocabulary and mannerisms were right on track with her age as well.
The story is well-written and flows with ease. The character development is perfectly done and with characters who are charming. Once you start reading, you can't help but hope for a happily ever after for everyone involved and this author gives you exactly that! Anyone who enjoys a good romance will appreciate this quick read.
