Ashby, a fox shifter, has been talking to and getting to know the vampire prince, Gabriel. He was a bit stunned that a prince would have interest in him, until they meet in person and Ashby realizes that Gabriel is his mate.
Instant mates don't bother me when they lead to instant attraction. But when it turns into inta-LOVE? No, that's when it loses me. I didn't really feel the chemistry between them enough to believe that they were in love. I was told how they had gotten to know each other, but I didn't get to experience it and therefore, didn't really feel it. Their relationship wasn't built up enough for me.
Were they cute and sexy? Sure. It was your typical alpha vamp, with a saucy twink by his side. I've read it before, and this time wasn't any different. But everything was over the top and became too much.
There are many rave reviews for this story, so I'd say check them out, but it just wasn't for me.
