Survival is the key to life. Hope is the key to survival. Love and trust are the keys to happiness. You lose one of these then you lose part of your soul which is what makes you a survivor.
In BROKEN SURVIVOR, Holly Hewitt lost not one but all of these keys to survival the night she saw her mother murdered. That night was the beginning of her journey through darkness. Can she find hope, love and trust in Zander to bring her back to the light?
The author, Jennifer Labelle, does a wonderful job of setting the back drop of this story and defining the characters. You felt this story. You lived what Holly Hewitt lived. You felt her pain and her struggles. Not many authors can write with such intensity that it jumps from the pages into the heart of the reader.
Zander is the embodiment of an angel. It is if he was destined to be the one to help repair Holly's broken spirit. To show her that she is a survivor and worthy of love, his love.
This is a very fluently written story that left you turning the pages wanting to see what happened next. There were times to where I had to put the book down because I couldn't see through the tears but I had to pick it right back up.
It is definitely a book that pulls at the heart strings. If you want a book that encourages you to be a better person, to fight through whatever battles you face, this is the book for you. I highly recommend it.
