HADES is the 2nd Demonica
book I've had the pleasure of reading/reviewing in the 1001 Dark Nights
series, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to explore more of these fabulously fun books!
Hades has been the jailer of the underworld for thousands of years, and being stuck in the demon purgatory known as Sheoul-gra sucks. Fallen angel Cataclysm is hoping to earn her wings back by keeping her nose out of trouble and her body out of the depths of hell. All is fine and dandy…until her curiosity results in an all out underworld war, with the potential catastrophe beyond earthly comprehension.
Stuck in Hades' realm with him as her self-appointed protector, Cat can't hide her attraction to the mohawked wild man, but Hades' boss has let him know, in no uncertain terms, that Cat is off limits. What's an angel to do when she's stuck in purgatory with the baddest of the bad boys?
HADES is a novella in the Demonica
series by Larissa Ione, and also a stand-alone book in the innovative and fun 1001 Dark Nights
series featuring magical and mystical erotic stories by a variety of popular authors inspired by the classic The Arabian Nights tale. Even though supernatural books aren't really my thing, I absolutely fell in love with this darkly funny world that Ms. Ione has created. She had me LOL'ing with words like "Poopalufagus" and lines like this:
The hellrat poked its head out of the straw and took a bite out of the unconscious demon on the floor. They were cute little buggers.
The humor perfectly complemented the heat of the story, and although there wasn't a lot of sex, the teasing and flirting scenes were delicious nonetheless. Cataclysm was the best, and so many women can relate to her innate curiosity and need to know MORE! Hades...yum. What a cool cat, with the skintight pants and blue 'hawk, his sense of humor and badass powers...yea, I dug him. Their chemistry was as hot as the fiery pit he inhabits, and I cannot wait for more in this series!
Bottom Line: Excellent read, whether you're a regular fan of the Demonica
series or not! These novellas only make me hungry for more from the talented Ms. Ione.
