His magic stolen, Cherchi has little reason to live until an unassuming ocelot helps him find the passion within.
After having his magic stolen by the shifter's archenemies, the demon-like Kaga, Cherchi is left scared and struggling to move on. Consumed by the longing of happier days before the attack, he retreats from his clan. A single promise to attend his clan-leader's mating ceremony is the only thing keeping his heart beating.
There was once a time when Luka cherished his gifts, but after suffering an unspeakable tragedy, he has learned to resent them. Still, he never turns away a wounded heart. After his sister is bitten by a vampire, putting her unborn cub in jeopardy, his family travels to the legendary home of the Rune Fang in search of the Life-Binder.
Cherchi quickly finds himself the object of Luka's interest and, although he wishes to be alone in his misery, he can't deny a deep-seated attraction to the male. Luka's extraordinary gifts heal his ravaged heart, but can he learn to live without the magic that makes him a shifter?
Publisher's Note: This book was previously self-published by the author. It has been revised and re-edited for release with Totally Bound Publishing.

Cherchi is struggling to move on. Luka has learned to resent his gifts. Together they just might find the passion to heal their ravaged hearts in this moving paranormal m/m romance.
Left to their own devices, Cherchi and Luka would retreat in misery for similar and differing reasons but with enemies closing in, the clans need them and the reader can't help but be captivated by this emotionally moving tale of healing and love. The chemistry between Luka and Cherchi smolders with passion and sweetness as these two emotionally scarred males explore the attraction between them and even begin to have hope as they heal some of their wounds. These characters are strong, compelling and capture the heart from the very beginning while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps anticipations high with suspense, turmoil and passion.
The Kaga are growing bolder and seem to be growing in number as well as they attack clans around the world which leads them to search out the Light Binder which brings more danger and excitement to the Rune Fang clan. Some unexpected twists and some surprises for the members of the clan keeps readers guessing and vivid imagery brings the story to life, making it easy for the reader to become part of their world. Meanwhile, the intriguing events ensure that there is never a dull moment, and there is laughter to be found as the clan grows strong by coming together to fight the enemy.
The author has created a hidden world inside our own that exists right alongside humans. This fascinating world is full of interesting elements and the intriguing shifters have some unique and differing characteristics as well. Cherchi and Luka captivated me from the very beginning of their story and I can't wait to find out what happens next in the Children of Shairobi world especially as it seems fate has a lot more in store for them.
