The first novel in the Sinful Suitors series by New York Times bestselling author Sabrina Jeffries! At St. George's Club, guardians conspire to keep their unattached sisters and wards out of the clutches of sinful suitors. Which works fine…except when the sinful suitors are members!
American artist Jeremy Keane refuses to return home and take over his father's business. He'd much rather sample bevvies of beauties abroad, in search of a model for the provocative masterpiece he's driven to paint. When he meets Lady Yvette Barlow at a London wedding, he realizes she's perfect for his work—and determines to capture the young heiress's defiant spirit and breathtaking sensuality on canvas.
No stranger to scandal, Yvette agrees to be Keane's subject—in exchange for his help gaining entry to the city's brothels he knows intimately, so she can track a missing woman and solve a family mystery. But when their practical partnership leads to lessons in the art of sinning, can they find a bold and lasting love?

It's 1829 in London, and acclaimed American artist Jeremy Keane is still running from the death of his wife and stillborn son more than 10 years ago...seeking inspiration for his paintings in the town's whores. When he spots the stunning Lady Yvette Barlow at a wedding, he knows she must be his model at any cost, and he strikes a deal with her brother to paint her portrait. Yvette is struck by Jeremy's golden god looks and playful attitude, she finds being herself around him utterly easy. Yvette agrees to secretly pose for Jeremy's more bawdy painting in addition to her portrait in exchange for his assistance finding her brother's love child with one of the whores. Jeremy agrees, determined to keep this intriguing woman at arms' length, but he soon realizes that Yvette isn't a woman who plays by anyone's rules.
THE ART OF SINNING is book 1 in the forthcoming The Sinful Suitors Series by Ms. Jeffries. Despite the atrocious and cheesy cover art, this book wasn't too bad. I do enjoy a good historical romance novel, and THE ART OF SINNING was both well written and fun. Yvette was a feisty, headstrong character, and her bargaining with a well-known supposed rake to take her into a brothel was an interesting one. I liked the fact that Jeremy wasn't your typical English Lord or Duke or whatever; he was an artist who happened to earn a good reputation abroad. He appreciated and encouraged Yvette's spunk and fighting spirit, sparking their chemistry with each scene they shared. There wasn't much in the way of sex, and though their one scene was romantic and sensual, this book could've used more in the way of sexy time for the MC's.
Bottom Line: THE ART OF SINNING is an interesting take on the typical matchmaking and season-going historical romance and has a cast of supporting characters I wouldn't mind getting to know more about.
